I'm using a quasar at 0.6 ohms

Thanks for the link. I searched on Google but didn't see that thread.

That's weird, at that resistance I wouldn't expect a hot button. Make sure your contacts are clean and there's no possibilities of shorts. It could also be a big voltage drop that's making your battery work harder than it should. How old is your 4Nine?

Also, what battery are you using?

Sorry, I didn't mean to be snappy in my first post. Just trying to show that information is out there. Did that thread help?

I received my 4nine (love it) ... First thing is make sure that you are using a top device that has a 510 pin that extends at least 1mm (min) beyond the 510 threads. This is a must, not a negotiable. Do not use any RDA or RBA that has a flush 510 connection pin as it will short out.

Also, its sounds like you are using a flat top battery with the 4nine which is not recommended. This mech was intended to be used with nipple top batteries, not flat tops which can cause a short. There are some people who are ignoring this recommendation, but I would not do that.

I am not having any issues at all with my 4nine, it vapes just fine, no shorts, no hot buttons ...

I'm using a flat vtc4. Yep, I cleaned the connections double checked for hot spots and everything is fine. My 4nine doesn't have the extra magnet that was making the switch warm.

I have a few extra switches from focal that I'll use to see if the problem continues. Thanks for the help

The flat top battery could be the issue. As Nikkita posted, the 4Nine, with it's hybrid cap, is only safe if set up and run properly. Try a button top battery.

I've always wanted a 4Nine but I can never pull the trigger. I don't have any button top batteries besides an old awful blue ICR 18650 that I think everyone gets as their first battery from a B&M lol, also, the hybrid top freaks me out.

Sorry again and I hope your problem gets solved.

Wow sarcastic much?

It's a social forum as well as a troubleshooting forum, since when did we admonish people for asking questions?

Not being sarcastic, but a lot. I noticed that before I even joined ECF and came across threads by google searches. I've seen multiple people get on an OP on a single post on the first page about using the search button on multiple post.
