So I bought a 4nine the other day and the same day it shorted out, got hot and now the magnetic switch attracts to the magnetic spacer no matter which way I put it together. I heard when magnets get hot they loose effectiveness. It even appears that some of the magnetic pull has transferred to my Copper 4nine. I thought copper wasn't magnetic lol china.. any ideas? I popped the magnets out and find it impossible to find replacements. I pulled apart some small speakers... but its not going to work.

Authentics use 8mm magnets, while most clones apparently use 6mm. Clone owners (in FT forums) are experimenting with 6X1mm and 6X2mm... in some cases stacked to get the right gap and button travel. You can learn more here.
