Hi everybody! Purchased a Ego-C starter kit about a week ago with the intentions of cutting down on smoking and eventually quitting a 1 Pack a Day 15 year habit. Well after smoking 4 cigs the first two days along with vaping I decided to give it a try and go through a day without smoking a regular cig. Who would of thunk it, I am going on 5 days without touching a real cig!!! I am shocked as I never expected it to happen let alone this quick. I do not want to dismiss the thought that I will not light up again as I do not want to set up myself for failure or deny my head that I can not smoke if I want too (Head and mind are some pretty powerfull things).

Sooooo after owning my starter kit for about a week  and after much reading and advice from this wonderful community I pulled the trigger and purchased a Ego APV V2 (Vamo) mod along with a Vivi Nova mini (@2.4ohm) and a Triple V Polypro tank from ValleyVapes. All of which are out for delivery right now!!! @ 33 years old I can not remember the last time I was so excited to receive something, I am at work and that is all I am thinking about, 5 o'clock can not come fast enough. I am still new to this and a little apprehensive about the difficulty and switch to a advanced device but you will never know until you try....

I would like to thank the owners of this site and members who have been tremendous in helping with my decision and effort on quitting the cancer sticks. Wish me luck as I do you in this journey!

Cheers

Congrats Merlin21!

This is in my opinion the BEST way to quit smoking. Nothing else really comes close.

I ran out of analogs one day, and figured I would vape until I picked up some more. That was 1 month ago, I have not had a single puff since. I even picked up another couple of packs that day, just this week I gave them away. Never even opened them.

I am sure you will love that VAMO. It sure looks like a great device. I use only mini Novas, they work great, and are easy to deal with.

Thanks for the replies and well wishes everybody! I really appreciate it.

Aurora, I never set a date to quit and will not. If I really feel like lighting a cig and can't handle not doing it, I will go ahead and smoke it. Alot of people have mentioned something that rings good and true. "Don't count the cigs you have smoked, Count the cigs you haven't" , I like that alot. Again my advice is don't set yourself up for failure by depriving yourself....

I'm sure that's how I will be too, but I don't want to give myself too awful much leeway because I love cigs still ya know. But yes, I do know what you mean about not depriving myself as that's not going to help. I plan to do my best to smoke less cigs each day until I can just leave them alone.

Oh I understand, I enjoy smoking just like everybody else and the thought of lighting up does cross my mind... When that happens, I reach my PV and puff like a madman. Morning coffe, morning drive to work, lunch break, drive home, after dinner, sex, alchohol .... Alltriggers for smoking that we have created a habit for over many years. I wish you the best of luck and don't hesitate to p.m me for any info.

It can be done. It took me about a week to make the switch. Just take your time and don't try to rush into switching.

It took me about a month of messing with a couple different set-ups and a bunch of flavors. Plus just getting used to vaping. Some days I would have a couple smokes, some days the normal amount, some days only one. To e honest, I wasn't even planning to quit when I did, it just happened.
