OH
so, 5 pawns seems to be acting like they are THE premiere ejuice.
they seem to have gone all out, and spared no expense in every aspect of thier ejuice.
every bottle is glass, even the 5ml ones, and the packaging make it appear very "high end"
gambit.jpg
they even charge $27.50 for a 30ml bottle.

so.....is it worth the price??

Ok so, just tried all of them in my Evod with 2.5ohm heads. I like 2 of the 5 flavors. Now don't get me wrong, they all taste just like they are listed to taste. I personally though just don't care for some of the flavors. This is my personal preference but there is NOTHING wrong with the juices.

In fact, I'm pretty impressed. All glass bottles with glass dropper tops. Came secure in the tube nice and snug. These have been steeped for a while! I have batch 21 that was made 02/07/13. They all taste ready to vape and enjoy and as I said they all taste like they are supposed to. No funky tastes ect.

My favorites out of them? Grandmaster and Queenside.
I'm not a fan of absinthe so Absolute Pin was not for me. Gambit for some reason gave be the back taste of.. feet? I'm going to try this one again on another atty and see maybe if that one I had just was off because I normally love apple pie lol.
Bowden's mate was delish but I just am not a fan of menthol/mint cool vapes. It tasted like I was vaping my favorite mint chocolate icecream but personally I just can't do that cool minty vape for long.

As far as grandmaster goes, tastes like I'm eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich. It's sweet but not overpowering. Queenside reminded me of a orange creamsicle. Very nice and smooth vape from that one.

So, the money question. Do I think they are worth the price? I do if you take in some factors.

-Steeping. They literally come ready to vape no matter what. It isn't the question of well this tastes good but maybe it will get better with time. There is literally I don't think anymore time that will make these worse or better. They come ready that day. So if you are impatient? This is for you.
- The unique flavors. Are they have been what you are looking for? I mean if you want an authentic tasting mint chocochip icecream vape? Then Bowden's Mate is for you. Along with all the other flavors. They all pretty much hit the T with how they are supposed to taste.
-Quality. This one can be debated, but glass bottles, excellent packaging, and if you calculate the "free shipping" to be included in that $27 price tag, you are actually getting your juice for cheaper at $24.50(estimated) with taking standard US shipping off.

My verdict? I'll probably be getting a 30ml of Grandmaster at some point in the future because it's fantastic to me and I personally am willing to spend the money on that.

I've found some excellent juices but none I'd be willing to spend that kind of money on. While I appreciate their packaging, it just adds more to the consumer price for juice that costs the same as any other juice (estimate around $18 a gallon) and it ends up as land fill or recyclable matter when the fluid is exhausted. I have a hard time believing it's nearly twice as good as as other juices. I've found some juices on sale for $10 for 30ml that we're outstanding. I might be wrong, these might be exceptional but I doubt $27 exceptional.

It's all SO subjective. If YOU like it and YOU don't mind spending that much, then it IS worth it. IMO, I'm looking for a great taste. For me, it is SO hard to find a juice that clicks with my tastebuds. These flavors do click (3 out of 5 are longtime vapeable to me.) If it keeps me off analogs and I feel fabulous, then I don't mind paying the price and it's worth it to ME. When I know I like the juice, I feel good paying that kind of money vs. blowing it on an unknown. I have spent MORE money trying to find a juice with great taste, so to me, it's a bargain. Heck, I spent as much on Grant's Vanilla Custard, waited 2 weeks for it to come and meh.

All I can say is, if you are inclined, get a sampler and find out for yourself. If you vape 3-4+ ml. a day and you're on a shoestring budget, maybe not. YMMV.

I recently bought Grandmaster and only am getting a thick heavy peanut butter taste - I am going to cut it with some cream or try a small amount of honey. Gambit is great right from the bottle - I get all of the flavors advertised.

Don't get me wrong, their juice is very tasty and accurate.

This is only applicable if the buyer purchases just one bottle. Otherwise, you do not get the discount on the second, as you only pay shipping once on most orders even if you get 5 bottles. So, justifying it as $24.50 is exactly what they want you to do.

How does that make sense? The more your order the more your package is going to weigh and cost in the end. Therefore no matter how much you order you still get free shipping thus basically paying less per bottle then advertised. Sure if you go through say UPS as the weight goes up the price goes down in some cases, but they don't use UPS. They use USPS and thus say 5lbs of juice is going to cost quite a lot including insurance and tracking.

Most places I've ordered from tend to use flat rate boxes, though if metered would still be a lower amount than 2.50 a bottle. 5lbs would be a great amount of juice as well.

I cut my Grandmaster in half and add 1/4 MBV Whipped Cream and 1/4 Graham Cracker. I have these 2 flavors in multiple nics (it's cheap enough to do this) so I can adjust the nic level for night (I go down to 3 mg. at night.) I cut Gambit too. I plan to do the same when I get my full bottle of Queenside.

Why does the price need to be "justified"? If we are willing to pay it, what is the problem? If you aren't willing to pay it, you won't be a customer. If you think they are a ripoff, don't buy their juice. Let people decide for themselves. Nobody is being "fooled" into buying juice. You either like it or you don't (or don't want to pay their price.) It's not like they are dictating the price that EVERYONE should pay for every brand (like a tax.) Save your ire for BT and the government.

Wow! I hadn't known there were rules governing opinions on this forum. My bad, please ignore my opinion in response to the OPs request for opinions.

"5 pawns....does it live up to the hype?", just in case anyone was confused as I seem to be.

Apparently you didn't read the original post since you seem to be a little confused. The OP was asking and I quote, "they even charge $27.50 for a 30ml bottle. so.....is it worth the price??"

The question marks indicate the OP was requesting the opinions of their fellow forum members on the value of the price of the juice. That is why others are sharing their opinions. Yes it is SO subjective, that's a rudimentary observation, but it doesn't negate the value of the requested opinions. My opinion was that I haven't found a juice I'd be willing to spend that kind of money on and it was in response the OP's original question of value. I also haven't found a car or a wristwatch I'd be willing to spend $45K for yet many people have and many more will. That doesn't mean they won't ask others "Is it worth it?" before purchasing.

Anyone interested should try their sample set. There isn't a bad juice in the bunch. I'm ordering a larger bottle of Queenside soon and will definitely consider restocking a couple of the others. For me, Queenside is the best of the bunch, though. I'm only a month into vaping but I'm sitting on a mountain of juices from Ahlusion, Halo, AiV, Highbrow, Want2Vape, MBV, and HHV as well so I have tried a significant amount in this short time -- and Queenside is among my top ten out of maybe 60 or so and counting.

They fill an interesting niche for me: their juices are all on the dessert side, but I'm able to enjoy them nonetheless (I'm more of a NET, harsh TH person). They almost all avoid the fake-tasting flavors I associate with most of the fruit and dessert liquids I've tried (Grandmaster's Runts banana taste being the exception).

Just to chime in with my 2 cents... To me, Queenside lives up to the hype because it tastes good, vapes well, and has me thinking about it when I'm not vaping it. Thus, I'm a fan. But, like some other folks on here, not all the flavors smacked me upside the head (in a good way, of course). Not really a fan of the Absolute Pin...the absinthe finish kind of kills it for me. I like the Gambit because it's not overly sweet, but I'm not craving it when not near by. I'm still exploring the other three flavors; tried them, but haven't really given them a full on go.

FP will live up to the hype for the vaper who enjoys the juice. As always, YMMV and taste is subjective (can we add yet another acronym to the ECF lingo...TIS?)

Hello!

After lurking on the forums for a week and reading about the myriad of ejuice choices, I went and ordered myself the sample pack of 5 Pawns. I also ordered two sample packs of Pink Spot Vapors. I figured I could go ahead and enjoy the already steeped juice of 5 pawns while letting Pink Spot steep a bit. I'm excited for the 5 Pawns to get in. My local vapor store, which is really awesome with customer service and vape items and mods, unfortunately they don't seem to have very good quality of eliquids. I'm still new to vaping and a 30 yr Newport smoker, but I can taste the artificial flavors in their stuff. Hopefully 5 Pawns will live up to the hype in my eyes.
