completely by accident i found a 5V source for my USB passthru. i was getting ready for a trip and i wanted my 4 port powered USB hub to charge my batteries. so when i disconnected it from my PC and looked at the transformer specs. to my surprise i saw the output was 5V @ 2.6 amps.
connected my passthru and got great vapor too.
i had tried it once before but my PC didnt like it too much and i havent tried it in the hub since. mind you i am using it freestanding and NOT connected to the PC. just the power transformer by itself.
i purchased the hub a year before i started vaping, so it is a coincidence that this actually worked. i got it at walmart when i needed some extra USB ports.
