...smoking the cigs very fast - one pull very quick after another and find I still do that, I don't think that translates very well to vaping, perhaps that is destroying my clearomizers?

Yup, that'll do it. Long, slow drags is what you want to achieve. Everybody is different, but keep in mind you are heating stuff here, so you cant just take 20 or 30 long drags back to back without an adverse effect on your unit. Long and slooooooowwwww :vapor:

Dripping is for professionals....Vaprofessionals? :) Essentially just the atomizer on top of a battery with a drip tip and you drop 1-3 drops directly onto it. At a time. It is the best vape, but wholly inconvenient for me as I'm always on the go. It's a girlfriends-with-her-friends-tonight-so-sit-down-with-a-750ml-of-Black-Label kind of affair.

Keep it up!

Edit: and ya, check out a local B&M, most of them will let you try flavors and/or buy sample sizes. Tasty Vapor is ten blocks over from my office :)

Well, sorry to contradict you a bit Soundless....but my 80 yo mom quit smoking with e-cigs...AND SHE DRIPPED the whole time...didn't know any better (this was about 2-3 years ago before cartos were so varried and tanks were rare).

Anyway, OP, dripping is really simple. Just drip 3 drops into an atomizers, vape 10 hits, 3 drops, 10 hits, 3 drops, 10 hits.... repeat. I used standard atomizers when dripping...you don't need special atties. A drip tip is helpful so you don't have to remove the plastic cart.

If you try it with a plastic cart and atty "just to try it"...pull the filler out of the cart and also trim a mm or two of the plastic off the end so it doesn't melt onto the atty bridge.

If it gurggles, it's too wet...vape more between drips or drip fewer drops at a time. If it tastes burnt, it's too dry, and drip more often or try more drops. If it's too many drops ...it leaks out the bottom. They make drip shields for that too.

WOW you are talking about very, very harsh set up I use to smoke Gold MB a pack a day now i use 2.8 om clearomizer with no more than 11mg nicotine 24 is the strongest I don't even want to try it also I am not really that tech into it, but if I use 70/30 juice my head goes for about a week to 10 days if I do 50/50 juice goes forever maybe 3 weeks I guess the VG is better and does not leave that much burn stuff on the hear. But what you are smoking right now is very very ruff I don't think I can go a day with that. I hope I helped!

What you're experiencing is normal. You've already gotten great advice, but I'll add my own suggestions. To fully understand what delivery system might work best for you, here's an excellent general primer (with pix & pros and cons of each) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rto-tank-what-juice-delivery-attachments.html. Once you understand the basics, you can dial in your research to more specific models/brands. Just don't be surprised if what works for others doesn't for you, or vice versa. Keep at it & you'll find what makes you happy.

For juice, dripping atomizers & samples are the most cost effective way to experiment. If your local B&M doesn't carry the atty, you can go here: buy one or two of these Bauway Bridgeless Dripping Atomzier (use distilled water or vodka to rinse between flavors) and one of these Mountain Oak Vapors - Dark Temptations E-Juice Sample Pack - Premium Tennessee E-Liquid. If you can get the dripping atty locally, here is another good place for samples which allows you to choose all the flavors (plus gives you a bonus free sample) as well as customize the nic level 10 Pack 3ml E Juice Sample Pack!. Of course, there are a million vendors that I haven't tried, but these are two I can personally recommend. You may find something right away, but I went through 60 or more flavors to find my all day vapes, and even then, I still have to switch between two or three to keep me completely satisfied.

Most importantly, keep asking questions, keep reading & VAPE ON!!!:vapor:

Wow thanks for all the fast replies and I will read anymore that come in - I have zero intention of smoking an analog again - I smoked them for over 30 years and am done!

I did initially look for a tobacco flavor when i first tried and actually found as many have stated that I didn't like them, I did however find one (Wyatt Earp from FS USA) that actually tasted more licorice than anything and I liked that - the licorice taste has gone now and really all I can taste is the nicotine - if you have ever had nicotine gum you will know the flavor well - a little like black pepper.

I was a pack a day smoker and have pretty much kept up the same rituals so am not a chain vaper, however due to smoking outdoors I did develop a bit of a power smoking habit - smoking the cigs very fast - one pull very quick after another and find I still do that, I don't think that translates very well to vaping, perhaps that is destroying my clearomizers?

I would certainly take recommendations for flavors - I would like to find a good strong licorice, also interested in coffee, nut, vanilla, that kind of thing - fruity or creamy didn't work for me - sweet seems good - I am in Tucson so can easily go into the FreedomSmoke USA store there - that is all I have tried thus far but wouldn't mind doing mail order if better.

Finally what is dripping? is that where you just smoke a small amount of juice at a time - does it lend itself to sampling different flavors without needing a clearo for each - if so what is a good product.

Once again - thanks - you guys rock!

Pinkspotvapors has an amazing licorice flavor called Buzz's Black Licorice, I am dripping it right now in 12mg nic! For me it taste just like eating a piece of old fashioned licorice

Yes, that's what I meant by Vaprofessional...people who have been vaping for a long time. With new tanks and Clearos and whatnots coming out everyday, I think Dripping will still be around as the original. The taste and vapor from dripping, in my humble opinion, is unmatched by anything out there today. I'm still new to vaping...I guess I would be a Vaping associate? :)
