hey everyone,
I'M a newbe and have a question.I started recently, but devoured as much information as I could in the last 3 weeks on the web, and youtube.
I started out with a starter kit ego, with cleaomizers. hated the taste of the plastic tank, hated the chineses juices.So I found Tasty Vapor helped solve the juice problem, found cartomizers they started out great, but after a day of tobacco juice they were toast, and it seemed it all tasted like poly.so changed to atomizers 510 not so good,LR 510 by ikenvape much better, thought I'd solved the problem, especially after I pulled out the dreaded poly wick, but after a day and a half of heavy vaping the flavor became horrible. 306 LR started out great, I was really impressed by the flavour, but again the taste after half a day became foul, everything tasted like the plastic drip sleeve it came with. I'm using a ego battery i think 3.4 or 3.7 volts 650 amh
I tried soaking the cartos, and attys in vodka to clean them tried boiling water....no go.
WHAT am I doing wrong? vaping to much? I go through maybe 2ml of juice a day.

To find good vape, good taste I'm thinking of trying rebuildable atomizers maybe aga t, but I'm worried it will be the same, starts out great, but quickly turns sour. Am I vaping to much? any advice. Am I just toasting my taste buds?

I'm going through 3ml-7ml a day depending on the day. More often 3ml. I'm using an eGo-C Twist 650mah & 1000mah. With a Kanger T2 and a ReDux. I haven't experienced any plastic taste at all. Dry hit & burnt taste every so often with the ReDux, but the T2 is good. I dont think your vaping to much. I did notice that flavor in the both was not up to par if I got under a half a tank. But the new head I got for the T2 seemed to fix that problem.

get some 510 attys and a drip tip......drippin is awesome.....or for when ur out and about i reccomend the kanger t3 bottom feeder.....thats how i roll.....but there are other options as well you wil find the niche for you....vape on

I like using drip system (atty w/drip tip) with VV, holds up no added flavor from wick/cardboard, and last 4-6weeks. I love love love it.

You found the issue, poly is crap. You need to attain heat to vape, heat and most of these transference materials don't mix.
Dist/s aint in it for your health. Get an RBA with un-burnable materials.
Poly=major probs.

That's how I roll too. Drip at home and Kanger T3 when I'm driving.

I rock the T3s most of the time, drip tips for testing out different stuff. I would go full T3 if they made a glass or pyrex tank one.

I think you just have smoker taste buds, a newbie palate, and have read too many over-nuanced critiques in your research. I'm 2 years smoke free and detect no off tastes whatsoever from clearos (ce4, t2, t3). Maybe you just haven't found your juice, or acclimated to pg/vg? Or maybe your taste buds are just doing the recovery dance, mine did for a few months, I had to switch juices often, even altered my diet significantly because things just tasted different. Even now that my taste buds are back to normal, lots of good quality juices that are famously loved just aren't good. Tastes are funny like that, probably moreso with vaping than even eating. I hate eating licorice, love vaping it. Love drinking coffee, hate vaping it, but for a bout a month in the beginning it was one of the only flavors I liked to vape. Go figure....

For the record, I'm 3-6 ml / day. I rinse my clearos once or twice a week. Dry burn and re-rinse once a week or two.

You could do an experiment and pick up some unflavored juice. Try it straight. If you get any off flavors, it ain't your equipment or your juice, it's just you. I actually used unflavored fairly often in the beginning, hadn't found a lot of goto vapes yet, and my taste buds weren't settled enough for an all day, everyday vape. Unflavored was comforting because I knew at least it wouldn't taste bad and I'd get my nic and stay off the stinkies.

Clearos aren't leeching anything into your juice, and at 2ml a day you surely aren't taxing an ego or any of the clearos I've tried. The only thing I'd look at equipment wise is the LR atty's, I just don't see a need for them at all, and if you're getting off tastes, I'd try bringing everything back to the middle of the road...

just get a tank from valley view vapes and throw a newly punched carto in that thing. and BAM no dry hits beautiful flavor and the tank holds 3 mls so you'll be good for the day.

RBA is good on flavor and vapor as long as you keep a good build on that...it will last atleast for a week before you build another one....
