so...
i have been reading up here and at the madvapes webforum... but i haven't seen anyone who's done an ammo mod. has anyone ever tried it?
just thinking outloud, it shouldn't be too hard... just need to get two empty .50cal casings, take the base off of one (will destroy the tube of it i figure) and then take the tube off of the other one (will destroy the base i figure). this will leave you with two halves of a .50Cal empty casing...
do your usual work for the guts as per a generic flashlight mod, only to size for a .50 cal round.
the hardest part would be figuring out how to put it together... but i think i beat that problem. you may have noted that i destroyed parts of two different empty casings...Tthis was to keep the original dimensions of the two parts... they will almost assuredly not fit together right now, as they're pressfitted together... my workaround is to find (if it exists) a threading kit and thread the inside of the tube and the outside of the base.
discuss... i want opinions and potential problems up front so that i don't waste my time and money picking up the supplies i need, only to find out that there is a problem that i missed...
