Hi guys. I recently started making my own ss mesh wicks. I've made them for my DID clone, my kanger t3's and my vivi nova v2. I started noticing some flavor difference after about 1 week. I took the top off and this is what I found. A rusty coil and looks like the wick too. This hasn't happened in my kanger t3's and my DID clone. I was going to convert my SmokTech SRT tank to ss mesh as well, but I don't want to if its going to rust like this. Has anyone else experienced this? The juice i'm using is an 80/20 mix called Dragon Splash from Vapor Renew. The coil/wick is only a week old. Any help would be great.

It's hard to tell from the pic if it's rust or just crud built up from the juice. I've never heard of Kanthal rusting. Maybe try dry burning off as much as you can and try a different juice and see if it looks that same. It could just be something in your juice is making it look like rust.
