501 Atomizer gets hot but not red

My atomizer gets extremely hot but doesn't get red unless I blow on it. Once I remove the drip tip and blow on it, it fires up but goes black again once I finish blowing on it. I'm getting some vapor from it but it's extremely weak. It's a brand new atomizer. Any suggestions on how to correct the problem?

Try another battery and see if the problem goes away.
