501 Atty Connector

**Whoops...... mean the 510** Has anyone found a suitable connector for mounting a 510 atomizer to a battery box? I saw a previous post regarding the use of a RCA jack, but was looking for something to thread the atty on instead.

The m40x atomizers are a perfect fit for a 510 atty. So, I bought some cheap m40x USB chargers and opened them up and ripped out the connector, Dremel'd some vent holes in it and epoxied them into my box mods. Works well. I'm sure somebody has found a cheaper alternative though but that's what I used.

You can also use metal valve stem caps in a pinch, I have a Nicostick made from one that has slightly recessed threads. It only gets about two turns before contact but it works.

I believe that there is a magic-putty type of stuff that is conductive (?). This could be packed into/around the atty threads (lightly greased). After nearly set, this would be unscrewed and a center pin placed within after drilling out a hole; insulating later, such as a straw or plastic/rubber tubing, around centre pin.

Rather a wierd solution, but might prove handy where no other option exists.

For 901s, the 2.1mm power jack is better than the real connector; although it does require a little adjustment.

I have two dead Janty 510's I would trade for 401's and two dead 4081's for 901's if anyone wants them to make more mods.

Yes.. I am looking for 4081 attys for making 901 mods. got a couple of 901s left if you need em. No guts cause I tried to repair them before I gave up on em, connectors are good though.
