510 atomizer question

I am new to vaping and so I have a quick question about my atomizer. I drip three times like I have read and been told to do into the atomizer. Then when I vape I get lots of vapor, an all right flavor, but the vapor is cold and it does not make a sound while vaping. When I vape with one of my cartomizers I get the strong flavor, an ok amount of vapor, and it is good hot vapor.

So I was wondering if I might have burned out my atomizer or if it is sometimes normal for the vapor to be cold and make little sound while vaping. I use a 6v ecig which is why I am wondering about the cold vapor. Any help is appreciated

are you using carts or drip tips?

I am just using an ikenvape 510 atomizer.

i'm guessing you're dripping on the atty to prime it and just using a cart? You may just be getting too much juice on it and be flooding it. If you vape it for awhile does the temp increase?

The temp doesn't seem to increase. I just blew it out and then added three drops to try and see if I had flooded it but it still is doing the same thing.

well a good way to know if an atty is cooked is by checking its ohms. Get a volt meter it should be reading around 2.5 ohms anything too high and its likely that you're atty may be bad.

Yeah you should ideally use a HR atty on a 6v you might blow a normal 510 on one.
Standard 510s are fine on 3.7 or thereabouts, and 5v I haven't had any issues either but 6v - get a high res one. SHould work much better.
