Been vaping with a 510 from TW for over six months now :) I still have ONE of the original white atomizers that came with my Titan 510. I've really only cleaned my atty's by doing a quick dry burn....But one thing I'm wondering about regarding (dry burn) is that when I put the atty on my passthrough, engage the button, you can hear the sizzle sound (not gurgle) and you can see the red glow.....and sort of smell the burning smell.....This has always worked well for me, it's just brief, I don't sit there and hold it and let it stay red glowing for maybe 3 to 5 secs, then it works great, always has....I received 2 black new attys....My question is, neither of them have never turned red or ever glowed when hooked to the passthrough...I mean, they work, you can hear the sizzle, but it's almost like they are a lot "weaker" or something......I'm using the same juice that works great on the six month old white original atty I have, but these 2 black attys do work, but don't give a good vape at all.......I keep reading where people are getting DEAD attys, but mine aren't dead, they do in fact work, just only half ... work....Is there anything that I can do with these

There are many things you can try. Some have tried boiling them for 2-3 min or just running them under hot water and blowing them out. I tried boiling one of mine that was running week after a few days use. It's still doing the same thing.

I'm sure you will get better answers from others. I would only suggest boiling if you really are not getting a satisfying drag from them. Just in case it ruins it.

I've seen this before.. but do no worry. What Jenn said will probably get you going.

Run some warm to hot water through it from the cartridge end. Blow it out by mouth from the cartridge end. Repeat this about a dozen times. It's messy and the vein will pop out of your forehead.

Blow it as dry as you can get it from the cartridge end.

Put it back on the PT. Dry burn for 3-5 seconds. Stop.... blow on it to cool it down. Repeat. You may have to do this a dozen times (especially because there is residual water in it)..... but ultimately you will see that hint of red. And then one or two more shots and the whole coil should glow.

If that doesn't happen.. I'd be worried about the atty.

Unless... these aren't clone atties are they?

Of my 2 510's, one will glow bright, the other won't. They seem to get equally hot. Got mine from Cignot as well, genuine Joye's, I don't think the manufacturing tolerances on these PV's are quite as narrow as other equipment we are all used to. My wife has 2 "perfect" looking atty's, and I have one with a crooked bridge, and the other won't glow.... *shrug* They both WORK, so I'm content

Yeah, its just that I notice on the ones that achieve the "red glow" give a much better vape; like I dont have to do a primer puff at all. If I use an atty that doesnt ever achieve a red glow, I have to primer puff twice then draw, then I get a good vape. I realize attys are disposable item and degrade after a while, and I dont mind at all buying them but the inconsistency is maddening! Out of the ones I have had, the white ones have been the best, dont know if its a fluke or what.

We've shelved our three 510 passthroughs here. On stock batteries and on nicostick (14500 battery) they all glow a nice red. Some brighter red than others, but they all glow.

On the passthroughs with fully charged batteries, they all only glow a dull red. Vapor production is weaker than on direct battery power, as well.

The thin wires from the battery box to the manual passthrough battery eliminator are my suspicion as to why, too much resistance in those wires to deliver full voltage to the coil.

All three white atomizers that I received originally with my kit (plus the one extra that I ordered when ordering) all glowed red and vaped wonderfully....When I got my kit from cignot, one of them barely glow red and the other one is so weak..... I have tried on the passthrough, fresh batteries, etc and it barely sizzles and there is no hint of the slightest red glow and trying to vape with that addy is just maddening. If someone wants me to send it to them I'll be glad to. I'm tired of it and going to throw it away. I just hope these 2 new attys I ordered are good attys. I only have the two left that work decently. I've been vaping almost 7 months , so far I'm on a total of 5 attys (2 still working 70%) so I guess that's not too bad.

You want to test the atty with no battery attached.. just the bare atty. Put the meter on the Ohms scale.. the lowest scale that you have... like 200 Ohms or 40 Ohms (depending on the meter). Put one probe on the threaded ring on the outside of the atty, and one probe on the center pole of the atty (with the hole in it). You should get a resistance reading on the meter.

Yeah .....About the passthrough.......STRANGE......With my oldest atomizer; it works good on the passthrough, but better on the rechargeable battery. The other black atomizer I have works decently on the battery but barely works on the passthrough. I would think something was wrong with my passthrough but since it works fine with one atomizer, I guess its fine.
