I have have been using the same 510 atty for 10 days straight now and it's starting to act funny. I have to drip pretty often otherwise it burns carts and every time that I drip now liquid is seeping out of the mouthpiece of the cart. I pope the same cart onto a new atty after blowing it out and have not had any of these problems.

As for maintenance all that I have done is just blow it out from the battery end every once in a while and wipe down the threads. Should I try doing anything to clean this baby out. It performed pretty well for most of those 10 days, right up until yesterday really.

I too have a 510 and that atomizers don't seem to hold up too well. I know that if the atomizer starts getting gunked up or flooded with too much juice, it won't burn right. I clean mine by putting them in a cup and pouring in boiling water. Slosh them around for a minute or so and then place them on a paper towel to dry. Be sure to blow them out before actually reattaching to the cart and battery and you should be good to go. I personally think I will end up just going with cartomizers since they are cheap enough to just throw away when they act up.

Welcome, and yes attys can be a pain in the A...
I have a Ego but use 510 attys...so I clean them out at least once a week..
Having said that,,,Attys just DIE....and there is nothing, no cleaning, no letting them
sit a few days to dry out, or even cleaning them with boiling water and blowing them
out will change the basic fact,,,,YOUR ATTY IS DEAD....toss it...and buy a new one..
A 510 atty cost about $8.00....A pack of analogs cost about $5.00 per day...Multiply 7 packs of analogs verses one $8.00 atty and see what is the difference...Of course I know that you also have to include the Juice...but, even with the juice...It is a lot cheaper to Vape then Smoke....Not to mention,,,,for me,,, alot healthier...and besides,

It's Cool....Enjoy the Adventure...

I think that, when blowing out your atty's, it's better to blow them out from the CART end. I thought that I was doing it wrong and tried to do it from the battery end and practically NOTHING was coming out that way! Try it from the cart end and make sure you clean the threads out WELL. Also make sure you clean the battery where the atty screws into it. Maybe it's not making the best contact?

Hope it helps!!!!

I think that you may have hit the nail on the head. Not too long after starting this thread I blew out the atty from the cart side and a ton and I mean a TON of juice came flying out. I had been blowing from the battery end all week and apparently that doesn't work as well.

Anyways I boiled the atty and blew it out again. The wick looks much cleaner. I'll probably give it a shot tomorrow.

I do both ends...find it works best. Other than that if its really being a pain its probably dying - you could clean it as a last gasp effort otherwise I dont bother with cleaning.
MOST of mine last ages (direect drpper here btw) but I have had ONE that was a real pain and died quite fast (for me) in about 3 weeks. It wasnt a genuine JOYE and it wasnt hugely pricey so I just chucked it away. 3 x 510 attys from cignot (Joyes) set me back $25 not inc shipping - thats less than a weeks worth of cigs for me - so I figure its a good deal if the atty lasts more than a week.
