Hey. I'm still fairly new to vaping, started out with a 901 about a month ago and have now moved on to the 510 which I prefer by far. I've gotten into direct dripping now and don't think I can go back to using carts. My only problem is everytime I take the empty cart off to direct drip there's juice all over the end of the cart that fits into the atty. I have to wipe it down everytime otherwise when I push it back on the juice comes out to the outside of the atty. Am I doing something wrong and is there any way to avoid this? I've also noticed the cart seems to make a gurgling sound a lot of the time, I'm guessing the juice is getting down into the cart.

The gurgling could be a flooded atty if you arent getting the normal amounts of smoke. Also the gurgling can be from the inside of the cart. which sounds like the issue. I occasionally have the same issues and adding a drip tip will(i believe as i dont have one) solve this.

Maybe just try cleaning out the liquid catcher and cut back to 2 or 3 drops instead of w/e your doing

I'm already doing 2 drops, sometimes 3 :( I'll have a look into those drip tips or see if I can come up with something similar, thanks.

Gotta ask, what do you like about the 510 over the 901?

The vapour and throat hit seem superior to me, which is enough to make me love it!

OK. I guess I never tried a 510 on a stock battery. I started with the 901 and moved on to mods. I never tried a 510 atty until I was using a 6 volt mod so my experience is skewed. I just like the flavor the 901 delivers. at 6 volts the vapor and TH seem the same.

Ahh, I've heard about 510 having less flavour than the 901 but I've never noticed this. Anyway, throat hit > flavour for me due to smoking unfilted, rolled cigs for years :p

Are you sure its juice and not condensed vapor?
I drip all the time, I often get condensed vapor on the cart sides, but its not a lot (few drops, looks like dew) and rarely flood unless the juice is ultra thin and I accidently squeeze the bottle (filling up your atty with juice, not recommended lol). If it gurlges (the same noise like when you blow through a straw into milk) then its flooded and you need to blow it out; if it sizzles (like bacon in a frying pan) its fine.
Blow it out every now n then in case you have an atty that like to cling to juice and also blow your CART out a lot as condensed vapor can collect in the bit right in the mouthpiece part and make the same 'flooded' gurgle.

Yeah, it's just drops around the cart sides, still annoying to wipe off though ;p I think the gurgling is coming from the mouthpiece like you said. I've cleaned it out but it comes back in 10 minutes, It's not doing any harm though right?

No harm no - its really not actual juice youre seeing its condensed vapor, its has particles of juice IN it but its not unvaped, fresh juice - mine collects in the lid sometimes, but just blow it out and its all good. Ive licked it a few times without issue lol.
What I do is, every time I redrip, I wipe the cart sides on a tissue, its really easy to put that into your routine as I lay my cart briefly on a paper towel while I drip, so I jsut wipe, lay, drip, reattch, vape lol
