I'm down to my last, brand new, unopened 510 (TW) atomizer.

I've got 4 in rotation, a couple that work well, and a couple that are hit & miss. My wife's got 3 going. I've also got a 1/2 dozen atty's that have crapped out on me...

So before I order another pack, I figured I'd see if I can bring some of these back to the land of the living. So I channeled my inner Dr. Frankenstien, and soaked the atty's in some hot water, blew them out, and let them drain/ dry out over a couple of days.

My question is, at what point do you consider an atty something that can be saved. I've got 2 that heat up, but don't make any noise, or vapor (presumed dead). The other 4 heat up, make some noise, and seem to produce vapor, but I don't seem to get much TH from them.

How long should I dry burn atty's?

Thanks for the help. If there's one aspect of vaping I don't like, it atomizers. Seems like there's a little black magic involved with these things.

I hate a weak atty, most of mine get tossed after a couple of months.

I do all the standard things like overnight draining and the rare coke bath, hot water stuff, "dry" burn every once in awhile but at some point I give up and toss it because even though it may be making a bit of vapor it's just not enough to make me happy.

It's a bit wasteful but I still feel I get my moneys worth out of them.

If my attys work at all, and arent like trying to suck through 3 layers of wool to get anything out of then I keep em. I currently have 3 - all over 4 months old now - that are truely DEAD. They do nothing - well they look the same but other than that they dont fire up; those are getting tossed out. I dont like cleaning mine period apart from blowing htem out - tried it once, and killed the atty (though it might have been dying anyway, that was the sole reason I cleaned it lol)
I agree with you about the black magic part.

when they are to that point think of it this way.. you are going to toss it anyways.. burn the hell out of the thing and see if it works.. i had one to that point i dry burned it till the battery got hot and it came back to life.. on some dry burns at that point get the atty hot then put a drip of liquid on it and it will start glowing red..
