SO this is a really strange issue. I cannot use 510 attys with my 5v device. All my 510 cartos and KR808D with 510 adaptors work fine @ 5v. When I try and use a 510 atty it never fires up, they do however work fine in a 3.7v device. Now the really strange thing is they used to work fine at 5v then one day they just stopped working at 5v. These are 510 attys from 2 different companies.

Is there something that causes the attys to work for a little bit at 5v then only start to work at 3.7v. This is frustrating because I like straight 510 attys for drip vaping and only really use cartos on the go.

If anyone has a answer to this, please tell me what's going on. Thanks all.

If they work on one voltage and not another, it has to be that electrical contact is being made with one power source (3.7v) and not the other (5v). Atomizers are not specific to voltage as far as working or not.

Your 5v source likely has a center electrical contact recessed farther from the corresponding contact on the atomizer than the 3.7v source. By using the 3.7 source, the atomizer center contact has been pushed into the atomizer far enough that the 5v source can no longer contact it and complete the circuit.

The fix? If you can nudge the atomizer center contact back to where it contacts the 5v source, that would do it. Also, buy some new atomizers and, if they work, dedicate them to the 5v source.
