I've been vaping for about a year and a half and have dealt with all the little quirks with e-cigs and all so I am aware of re-ordering parts often, but I haven't run into this problem until recently.
I'm currently using joye 510 e-cigs after switching off of dse 901 with auto batteries. I now use manual 510 batteries.

About 3 months ago I had two batteries completely stop working for me. I would plug them in the wall charger or usb charger and nothing. No light flashing, no charging light on charger or battery. Now I know these things will die but they died at the same time. Since then I replaced the batteries with two new ones. Yesterday one of them flashed 10 times then did the same as the previous batteries, no charge. Then to make matters worse my other one died on me today as I was using it. Just don't understand if its just bad luck for them to both quit out on me basically at the same time.

Anyone have any ideas? i've cleaned the threads on the batteries and chargers and they are all joye products. Thanks anyone for reading.

wow seems that maybe u ran into a bad batch of batteries, to me at this point in my vaping life i would order a new set but my batts only cost $5-$6 for my 5v box mod or even for my rough stack, actually i have to ask are you using the same plug in the wall?

Yeah I ordered new batteries yesterday and I have a usb passthrough and a dse 901 battery with 510 converter to tie me over till they show but just don't want to fry the new ones if I did something to cause it. I am using the same plug for both chargers at home but do bring one charger to work but never had any problem with the work plug when I was using my 901. Thanks

do your charges change from work to home? i hate to say it but maybe the wall plug u have at home has a short or problem with it. when u get new batteries try a diff plug in at home, i know at my house with wacky wiring ( my home was built in the 40s) that my microwave and oven can not be on at the same time

I just moved out of a place like that, I couldn't vacuum until I went around turning everything else off.

And when you use the PT you are using it on a PT-appropriate 2amp charger and not a 500mA battery charger?

Did you look to see if there is any dried juice in the battery connector on your charger?

And BTW - if you are using a PC for charging the batteries - somebody actually killed a PCC charging case charging it on their PC when they got a static shock touching their PC.

I recommend these 4 port AC to USB 2amp adapters - I charge 4 batteries for 3 different PVs all at the same time and have never had a problem. You could also remove all of the battery chargers and use it with a PT
Newegg.com - Rosewill 2 Amp 4 Port USB International Traveling Wall Charger RUC-6181 for iPhone/iPod/iPad/MP3

I also always wipe the threaded end of batteries before putting them in the charger and make sure there is no juice residue on them. And I buy quality batteries. For 510 I recommend real Joye brand manuals. The autos are not sealed on the threaded end and depend on the drag sensor in there.

And re LR attys - some people say the internal switches in standard slim batteries cannot handle the amount of power drawn by LR attys and cartos. The LR ones are meant for Ego, Riva etc.

Could be a bad or dirty charging cable, liquid on an adapter can short a battery, a bad atty may be able to fry a battery, static can, juice in the end of an auto battery can

Thanks for the suggestions. I live in a home that was built within the last 15 years so I don't think the wiring is the problem. I am wondering now if the atty might have done it to the recent two. I did use the same atty on both and I'm currently using it now on my passthrough as it is working.

Dormouse I don't use auto batteries for the 510 so I it isn't juice getting in there. I also clean my threads to my batteries, attys, and chargers. Thanks for the info though I've never heard of someone getting shocked from their pc, ouch. I don't use the pc to charge the batteries and I think I may keep it that way after hearing that.
