510 Batteries

Hello, I recently purchased a 510. I knew this going in, the Joye 510 has horrible battery life. Still a great PV . Any way, I know that lithium batteries lose the amount of charge they hold the more you charge them. Does anyone know the approximate time a 510 battery will last before I need to purchase a new one?

I've heard numbers like 200-300 charge cycles.....

I've got about 7 of them that I use in rotation. I'm a 4ml a day guy.. and I haven't lost a battery yet (~4 months).

yeah , 200 to 300 charges is about right. I successfully killed a few 510 batteries in my PCC because the PCC just kept draining , then charging , then draining the batteries.

the TW MEGA batteries are also pretty cool , overpriced.. but cool , you may want to get your hands on a "mod" soon , to help out that battery life.

Yeah.. I went "all Mega" a month or so ago. Even modded the PCC to work with them. Not only do they "last longer" between charges... they should last longer overall since you charge them less often.

I've been very happy with the 510 using it on the AdapteveR.
It uses 16340's, when vaping fulltime I would generally get from 1.5 to 2ml per charge on a battery.

If you like the 510 atty there's always the eGo. I've gotten at the most 15hrs on a single charge. Usually average around 10, though. Still, great for it's size.

There is a thread on here where I discuss it slightly.. but the bottom line is that it's not an easy mod and if you don't have a fair amount of equipment laying around (example: lathe), you're probably not going to be able to make one:

But the good news is that TW is just abut ready to release their Mega PCC. Personally... I don't like the decisions they made regarding the what it can carry... but it will charge the Mega batteries.

Thanks for that! Seems a much better way of rating the efficiency and relative performance of a charge.

And again, compared to a max of 2ml per charge on my current setup using 16340's, that speaks volumes in favor of the eGo.

I'm really happy with it, otd. It's nice to just carry a single device with me for the day and not worry about extra batteries or a PCC. I'm eager to get my hands on the Baby J. Not crazy about the 801 atty, but hey, there's always adapters. : )
