Howdy-

Just giving you all some updates. I've received my starting kit in the mail today and I'm loving it so far. Got it from MadVapes.com. The 510 starting kit. Anyway, the juice smells fantastic but doesn't taste so good. Cartomizer is in good condition. Spent about an hour watching YouTube to learn how to put it together and get the juices in.

The hits are very rough. As a smoker, I was surprised that I was coughing up a storm, but over the past few days, I've seen a number of posts saying that this is fairly common when vaping for the first time.

My birthday is coming up in a few weeks so I've asked for a more solid set- a Mod, more specifically, to use more permanently.

Thanks to all who helped me during the first few days and now that I am officially one of you, I will definitely be participating in more discussions, sharing my experiences, and looking forward to hearing about others' experiences as well.

Happy vaping.

PS: I will try to get more juices, better tasting ones, and be back with an update on how they are.

What juice did you get? I've bought lots of their Top Vapor brand and it's kind of odd until it's steeped a while. I love their Maple Cream but I steep it for a couple of months before I even try it. My last order for 120ml has been steeping for about a month now and I'm getting anxious, but it needs the extra time before it tastes just right. If you need juice right now you might consider their Dekang, or another vendor. But save the stuff you've got 'cause it'll get better with age.

You definately have to let their juices steep I find the loner you let them steep the better they are. If you want to try some other vendors I would definately look at Freedomsmokeusa and Gourmetvapors. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose. As far as a mod I would definately look at the reo Check out their site reosmods.com They are a great device for the money and built really solid. I have the reo mini and couldn't be happier

Oh, I'm not sure what steeping is but I started smoking it right out of the package when it arrived, and so far no problems other than a rough hit, but it says 24mg on the bottle- that doesn't say anything about VG/PG or nic levels, so I have no idea what ratio is in it- makes me a lil nervous, I don't want to smoke too much...

Anyway, I'm going to order juices when I get down to the last bit of this juice which came with the kit- kit juices taste horrible usually but it's tolerable.

I did see the Dekang and was thinking about trying that.

Will definitely take this into consideration- I bet there are tons of other Mods out there that are better than the one I was thinking about getting- but see my post above with a link of the Mod I had my sights on.

Thanks for your recommendation, I have to do more thinking =]

Steeping is just letting it sit for a while. When juices are freshly mixed the ingredients haven't had time to come together very well. In my opinion, most juices need to steep a while before the flavors taste right. Most of the Top Vapor juices are 30/70 PG/VG from what I've read. I use 24mg all the time and have never over vaped.

Dekang juices are made in China. Like any other brand, some people love them and others hate them. I've tried quite a few and have found their tobacco flavors to be ok, nothing special but not bad. The fruit flavors have never tasted like they were supposed to, but I don't like fruity flavors anyway so that may explain it.

There's lots of mods on the market and you'll find one for just about every need. Super T stuff is really well made and nice to look at, but the price is a bit high in my opinion. For the price of a Precise 16340 kit you can get a Provari. I'd suggest you make a list of features you want, then find a mod that meets your requirements.
