Hey all, ive been using the 510 Boge carts to great effect, loving them so far but have a range of questions if anyone can possibly help?

I got some SR Boge from myepack but im not sure what the size is classed as. Its 45MM in length (not including threads).
I think it might be xl but not sure, can anyone tell me what sizes these are?

Normal -
Large -
XL - 45MM
XXL -

Question about the surface - Do they come in anything but stainless steal? Ive got quite a few fillings in my teeth and the metals seem to play havoc, its a bit like nails down a blackboard at times. Its normally fine but sometimes i get a bad metallic feeling (if that makes sense)

Drip tip - To avoid the above can i get a drip tip to go on top of the 510 boge cart? (assuming i cant get a non SS cart)

Thanks in advance

Cartomizers are generally sized as standard (35mm) or XL (45mm). Some manufacturers will classify it differently but those are the two primary sizes.
As far as drip tips are concerned there are a ton of options out there made from various materials that will pop right into nearly any cartomizer.
Also like you I started on cartomizers and loved them. Then I got tired of carrying around spare filled cartomizers. If you get to that point look into cartomizer tanks. A well made one is well worth the purchase.

Hi cfc :)

Normal - 35mm
XL - 45mm
XXL - 50mm

There are black Boge carts available - I use SS as I use mine in a carto tank - and I havent found anything that says what exactly the black ones are??? I would assume some sort of metal? Not for sure on those. You can absolutely use a drip tip on them though! Just toss out the soft rubber cap you remove to fill them and pop on any 510 drip tip :D

ok cool, so its probably not worth getting a new cart but get a drip trip?

Another issue im having if anyone can help? I filled up all my carts last night and a couple of them seem to have dried out quickly and got a burn taste. Ive checked to see if any leaks and cant find any, i filled via the condom process

Also looking for advice on the cart tank combo, how does this work, can you point me in the right direction. I ove the cart smoking feel but i think i need to go for the tank fills (best of both worlds?).

Ibtanked is one of the absolute best - not sure of their shipping to UK? Check out Baditude's blog on cartotanks - it is invaluable information :) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/4830-8-cartotank-help-noob.html

Heyhey there from another cartomizer fan.
1) the black cartomizers just have a sticker over the same stainless steel as the others. Also, you can't use them in tanks. Definitely go for a drip tip - plus they look cool. ;)
2) the cartomizers for tanks do need to have holes. you can either punch the ones you have (search youtube) or buy them prepunched.
3) after you fill them and let them sit for a little while, try topping them off with even more liquid till the top is a bit slushy. I'm a bit paranoid about burning them, so I probably go a bit overboard, but I haven't burned one yet. Or they could just be duds?
4) I also agree with ibtanked. Great quality, great company, if the glass breaks, a replacement is only a few bucks, also glass means you can use any kind of flavor - some flavors crack plastic tanks. Shipping internationally is only $6 I think.
Good luck. :)

You can punch cartos yourself ( i use a junior hacksaw and cut a 5mm horizontal slot) or buy pre-punched cartos for the same price.
In my experience pre-punched cartos are good for any juice up to around 75% VG content. I use 100% VG and find the pre-installed holes a little too small.
Using a tank is easy. Prime your carto as you normally would then slide it in to a tank. Add juice to the tank and vape away. A 6mm cart-tank will last me a day and a half. I use tanks primarily for out and about use. Fuss free vaping.
There is a plethora of info on cart-tanks available here. Member Baditude is well worth searching for if you want a full run down on carts and tanks.

Thanks chaps, really helpful as always. The tank seems like the perfect fit for me. I like seeing the juice qty but i couldnt get the grip of a clearmomizer. I like the carts so a tank is best of both worlds.

Sorry to be a pain but can you recommend a good uk based tank? Ive got an evod battery so dont want it to big massively bigger in width than that.

Cheers
