I'm so excited to receive this order, I can't wait.

What attys and Clearomizers would you all recommend?

Also what is the best place to buy quality, affordable juice?

Congratulations on your choices, Chris! As to attys, I'd suggest Ikenvape io6LR 1.8 Ohm if they weren't out of stock. I've been using one of their 1.5 Ohm in the io6 (that's a 306 atty, same threading as a 510) and also one of their 1.8 Ohm 510s for over 3 months now with amazing service. But since they're out of stock I've ordered a pair of Cisco 306LR 1.8 Ohm from
Avid Vaper : Personal Vaporizers and Accessories These have gotten very good reviews & I'd been wanting to try them, and by purchasing two of the same type they have a "2 + a drip tip" for $20. Now I've pinned my resistance range preference down to from 1.7 - 2.2 Ohms (more or less) on my 3.7 volt E-Power (just about the same powered setup as your KGO), but since some of the cartos you have coming are standard resistance Boge (3.0 Ohm) you might want to have one lower resistance (say, 1.8) and one higher (2.5 - 3.0) for testing juices. I believe you'll find some juices vape better at higher resistance than others.

BTW Avid also has the 510 attys if you're more comfortable with that design, and either will work fine on your KGO. They also have the 1.5 Ohm available in a bridgless model which might be fine for you; I find that cooks just a bit hotter than I like for the juices I prefer, but different strokes.... Oh, and they also offer their relatively new hybrid atty, the HH.357, from about $22 - $25 each, that are getting rave reviews all over the place. I figure that's half of what I paid for my PV KIT, and I'm a little reluctant to sink that much into one itty bitty atty, but that's just me. Maybe later, just not tonight.

Anyhow even if you don't plan on buying from them there's some good info about proper care & feeding of attys on their site you might find of interest. I'm not sure how universal it is, but I expect it would apply to most better quality atomizers.

Best of luck, and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Warren.. you seem very knowledgeable about attys so I have a question. I have a kgo, and I love it but I can't get a good vape out of the atty's that came with it. Either I'm doing something wrong, or they're just crappy attys! I think all you do is drip about three drops onto the bridge, screw it on and press the button.. how hard can it be?? But I get nasty vapes from both of them.. I'd like to be able to test juices before filling the cartos but I'm not having much luck. Do I need a different atty? Am I missing a step? And how do you clean yours? I run very hot water through them, blow them out and let them dry.

Chris.. that looks like an excellent order.. you should be set for quite a while!! As for juices,, there's tons of places to get good stuff.. my favorites are Spring Vapor, The Vapor Room and Highbrow Vapor,, but there's tons more. Always look for coupon codes,, sales run all the time. You're gonna love that kgo!!!

Hi luvinit! I'm still learning about all this stuff but from what I've learned (mostly read) so far, a lot of attys have a "primer fluid" from the factory that needs to be blown out before using, then a few drops of e-liquid added & "puff-vaped" until the nasty taste is gone (or something like that). I presume if you've run hot water through them, blown them out & allowed them to dry you're past all that, so try this: with them off the PV, put about 5 drops in one and let it sit for a minute on a paper towel or tissue. If there's no leakage, screw it onto your PV, drip in 3 drops & vape away. I *think* that should do it for you.

Good luck, and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I just got a KGO myself, total noob to atomizers and dripping ... how do you know when to drip again? This is with a stock kgo (w/ wick) atomizer.

when the flavor starts to diminish it's time to drip again. After a few dry hits that scorch your throat & taste horrible, you'll start to get the hang of it and instinctively know what that point is - lots of trial & error with vaping, especially dripping, but like everything else, it gets a whole lot easier with practice :)

Add 5-6 drops, and vape, when it starts to taste "off" add 2-3 more drops. The "off" flavor varies from person to person, It always tastes metallic to me but I'd heard other people say other things. If I am dripping, I prime the atty with the 5-6 drops, then add 2-3 more everytime I start to taste metal mixed with the flavor. Basically, you'll know it when you taste it.

Maybe part of my problem is I was dripping a kind of dry tobacco flavor earlier (AVE tobaccos), so the vapor still kind of has that tobacco flavor, but I notice at a certain point it gets a harsh throat hit. Am I smoking wick?!

Yes, that sounds like a burning wick to me.

Offhand I'd say yes, at that point you are. *As soon as* the vapor/flavor begins to diminish or you notice the first hint of unusual harshness, IMO it's time to add 3 drops of juice to a 306 or 510 atty. Now from what I understand not all attys are created equal, so always notice if there are model-specific instructions for the ones you buy (or otherwise acquire). What I wrote previously about primer fluid *does not apply*, IIRC, to the Ikenvape or Cisco attys; I believe both of those are shipped dry, and both have special instructions for their use. Simple stuff, but if not followed you'll probably toast the device and that would be sad. :(

Also note there are bridgeless attys available for dripping. I intended to order those the other night but Avid Vaper only had the Cisco bridgeless in 1.5 Ohm and I prefer 1.8. The 1.5s are just a bit hotter than I like with most of my juices, but YVMV.

Happy Vaping, & Cheers to all! :vapor: :toast:
