Hey all,
So I originally didn't think this would work, and I have heard that it shouldn't, but here goes.
I was fiddling around with my home-made passthrough and somehow it's managed to turn itself on when it wants to and it started to sear a 510 carto pretty bad.
Before I threw it out I decided to do the same process to make it "Drip-able" like I would with a KR8 and even though the batting was much more difficult to remove, I managed to leave the "sock" and coil behind
.
I think the best way to do it is with a pair of tweezers or pliers, but you need to be sure not to tug on it with too much force as I'm sure this would rip the whole thing apart.
Here's some photos of the end result

I do this so I can use the carto for just a little longer and it's working fine so far.
