Hello!

I am purchasing a protege for my wife (not sure if she'll get it by mother's day) and am looking for some stainless 510 cartomizers to go with it. Does anyone know where I might find some of these in stock?
(I'm hoping they will work with the 510 adapter that accompanies the protege v1.1, has anyone had experience with this?)

I use an eGo battery, and the Low Resistance (LR) 510 atties. I found some stainless steel 510 blank cartomizers at Nhaler. $9.00 for a package of 5. I just opened the package so I can't tell you how they work yet, but they do fit on my eGo just fine, and my other 510 batts as well without an adapter. Hope this helps! :)

You could always put them on a drill and sand the paint off...there all stainless under the paint...the carts are anyway...I dont know about the cartos. Make sure you plug the holes up to keep the paint out until finished though.

Not really paint on them actually, it's a black sticker. And a very sticky one at that. :)

Just wanted to thank everyone for the input so far... If they are indeed stainless under the black sticker then it sounds like I can use the drill idea to get rid of the goo and shine 'em up!

The ones I have (from Litecig or Liquidxpress) are stainless under the black label.

Not sure how safe these are for repeated use...
I pulled one apart after 3 days of use to find that the heating element is embedded in the wadding used to hold the e-liquid and there was a nice hole burned through it. It seems the wadding has a dual purpose and also acts much like a cigarette filter to stop the nasty burnt stuff from being inhaled.Unfortunately the wadding had turned black and dark brown all the way through from the burning.

The reason I pulled it apart was out of curiosity to why the e-liquid was loosing its' flavor and starting to have a strange aftertaste.

Using the cartos with the generic ego from TasyVapor

I just use isopropyl alcohol to take off the glue. It doesn't come off easy.
