510 ce2 plus

I ordered these after hearing great things about them from a friend. Unfortunately the ones I've tried so far haven't been great. There's an odd taste to them, kind of like plastic, and the flavor of my juice is a bit muted. That's when I can get a halfway good hit off them, otherwise it's just a burnt taste. I'm use to using tanks or dripping. The only cartos I've used are Boge 510s. Am I suppose to clean these before using them? or prime them somehow? Or is there a mod I could do to make these work better? My income is really limited right now, so I really need to make these work. Any and all suggestions would be very much welcomed.

I did try to look up videos on youtube or posts here, but I couldn't find much. So I'm wondering if these also go by another name maybe?

I've had varied luck with these. I've read thin juices work the best but I've had luck with 100% VG liquid as well.

In my experience, about 3/5 in the box work well. The best way that I 'prime' them is to: fill the barrel, place a drop or two in the center hole directly on the wick. If you wait a few minutes you'll see the wick has soaked up some liquid in the barrel and you can actually add more, so add a bit more liquid. Put the drip tip on. Turn it upside down for a few seconds and you should be good to go. In between hits, i sometimes turn it upside down to make sure the top of the long wicks stay wet and are able to properly wet the coil under the mouthpiece. I usually do this more often with thicker liquids.

I do notice the plasticy taste that you're talkin about, but after about 1/2 of the carto is gone the taste disappears for me and I get good flavor from them.

When they work, they work really well I think. But it seems, for me, that at least 2 out of the box of 5 are bunk. Either leak juice into the mouthpiece hardcore or just taste burnt right off the bat. The ones that work well are enough to get me to keep using them!

I think the "smokymizers" work the best out of all of the clearo/CE -type cartos, but I usually only get about 2 in a box that work properly.

Also, since we're in the MVS forum, I suggest giving the Kanger horizontal coil cartos a shot. They're cheap and I've had the best luck with those than with any 510 carto that I've tried....I've tried quite a lot of them.
