510 Connector Washer PTFE (Teflon)

This may help prevent connectivity problems from over tightening on the 510 connector. Mamu gave me this idea with the little 510 connector washer she uses. Light bulb goes on! Thanks Mamu!

I picked up this .020 PTFE film a couple of years ago at an estate sale along with a bunch of other materials. You can pick up a sheet for about $10-$12.

Saw a friend scrapbooking using this technique. You’ll need two paper punches, one 1/8” and one ¼”. Remove the catch guard on the ¼” punch (1/8” drill bit took the rivet out). You’ll need to be able to see the back side for alignment. The fit is perfect! Fix all those egos and new mods! Made 100 in about 20 minutes including vape break.

Great idea! I was just making some 510+ posts and wanted to shim them up a bit. GMTA. Only, I didn't have a sheet of teflon. And I didn't have a 1/8" hole punch. So I drilled a bunch of 1/8" holes in some plastic and then chased them down with the 1/4" hole punch. My material kept jumping into a parallel universe and disappearing. So, I put blue tape on that catcher part of the punch, and it would grab my washers as I popped them.

Love it! Be on the lookout at garage sales & estate sales for hole punches in the office supply section! LOL! I've never spent more than a buck each and have 10-12 different types. Great for all sorts of things.
