510 - Currently using PTB mod, thinking about dripping.

Hello forum,

Just a quick question. I am using a 510 right now, standard attys and batts. vaping is going to entirely replace cigarettes for me at some point, so I want to get the best out of my product. I really enjoy vaping, but have some questions.

I am using the PTB mod right now, frayed ends, and it works great. I am having an issue with having to top off about every 5-6 puffs though. I am seeing quite a bit of built up juice toward the back of the cart. This juice doesn't get wicked and seems like a waste. Any tips? Also, I've heard that topping off with the PTB or standard polyfill often isn't uncommon. If someone can verify that I would appreciate it as well.

I have also heard that people who use the 510 for a while tend to go with the direct dripping method, which I am totally open to trying. I know the coil requires frequent top-offs, and I can live with that. I guess I would like some feedback on dripping vs PTB if anyone has an opinion.

I watched a few videos from Doctor Vapor on YouTube and decided to try dripping. I think i'll be ditching the PTB method, lol. It's working great!

Glad you find a technique you are happy with... yes dripping will give you a full true vape....

Just a word of advice from my own personal experience: If you are going to drip, get yourself a drip tip or "modify" one of your carts. I used to "tailpipe", and would almost always end up with an "uncomfortable" lip (I can't quite claim it as a "burned" lip, but damn close-attys get hot!. After picking up and using a tip, it was a huge difference.

I'm new here but if your having to top off every 5-6 puffs, try a different cart mod. Im getting probly 50 puffs I don't know. Its good till the cart is dry. I'm using blue foam from strictlyejuice in my ego empty carts. No mods like cutting the right size, straws, springs, and what not. I just stuff it in half way, the other half crammed into the atty. I like dripping but I'm looking for a set it and forget it usage. Fill 3 carts in the morning and I'm good all day. No dripping every every 15-30 minutes. Think you should try other versions before giving up on carts since theu do have they're place and right time. Seems every one has there favorite.
