Well, I can tell that it will still take me awhile to leave the analogs fully behind. That "first cigarette of the day"... I TRIED the 510, I really did, but it just wasn't the same; still needed the fully foul analog to kick-start the day.

I DIY my cigarettes, using additive-free tobacco from a great company, and the taste is so smooth, it's hard to let go. :) At the moment, I'm using Eco-Pure juice, tobacco flavor (alternating between rich/regular), and the taste just isn't the same as an analog (or maybe I'm still burning primer off?)
Still seems to be quite a bit of taste variation (sometimes pretty rancid), but again, perhaps that is the primer. Any "standard" # of puffs before primer is fully burned off?

Oh, and I started dripping today and that makes a big difference, at least for me. MUCH better vapor. How many drops is the norm? I've been doing 2 drops at a time. I haven't started calculating # of puffs vs. # of drops until no vapor yet, still just getting used to the overall experience. But I'm a calculation nut, so I'm sure I'll be doing that soon. :)

The standard 510 batteries do indeed have a pretty short lifespan, but by always keeping one in the charger, I still haven't had to pull a still-charging one by the time the one I'm using is exhausted. But I AM looking forward to the arrival of my mega-batts! :) Particularly when I go to work, I'm not sure how easy it will be for me to have a charger available. I guess that's when I'll find out how effective the PCC really is (at least for the standard batts, I know the PCC can't take the mega-batts).

I guess that's it for the moment. Still very happy with the product overall, hopefully I will get the taste issue ironed out soon.

I'm also a DIY convert - D&R tobacco Rowland Light. The Ecopure while they promote the Rich and regualar as their 'tobacco' flavor, there are other flavors that taste more like tobacco - If you've ever tried and liked Rowland DIY - try Hilton or Camel flavored ejuices. Here's a rundown of the 'standard' tobacco flavorings in ejuice, i-m-o...

Dripping on the 510 manual - 2 drops is good - no more than 3 or you'll flood the atomizers.

If you think you're still getting primer fluid - remove the atty from batt and cart and blow hard from the threaded end into a paper towel and keep doing so to where you're not getting any wetness and then put two drops of the ecopure on the bridge and mesh and blow it out again. Then a drop or two and put it back together and vape on.

You'll love the megas.

I gave up the analogs day one after 18yrs of smokeing
its all mental.
I was gonna try a analog the other day when I was around smokers.
but I didnt want to tease myself.
this wed. will bw 2 weeks analog free.

Everyone who been to drop the analogs immediately, I think that's great. I WILL say that I'm already losing interest in the analogs. Since I have to roll one every time I want one, it's already easier to "just-say-no." I'm a 35 year smoker, and the PV is the first thing I've done that is helping at all. The patches/gum thing was useless for me (I'd slap on a patch, then light a cigarette  ), so ANYTHING that is even slightly effective is great! Obviously, the hand/mouth/"smoke" thing is a huge factor in it being effective for me.

Keep with it! Thank goodness I never got to the point of rolling my own cigarettes. DIY e-juice is much easier. When you can mix up a cartoon's worth in about a minute, ever the laziest enthusiast becomes a believer.

The first cigarette in the morning is the toughest to get rid off. It doesn't have to happen over night. Just expect to have a nice long vape in the morning while you're making coffee and you'll do fine.

Dripping is good. Modifying your cart to drip automatically is better. It takes all the hassle out of vaping.

Stick with it and don't think you have to quit overnight. Set your own pace. It'll hit you soon that if you can go down to a couple of cigarettes in only a few days. Zero cigarettes isn't that hard to achieve.

You've got all the time in the world... but you just want to be completely comfortable and analog free come July. Cuz you know what happens in WI in July....

??? No, I don't. I assume you are either referring to another huge price hike or the entire state going smoke free. Since I roll my own, and order custom blend tobacco online, the pack/carton cost isn't as relevant to me as it used to be.

But I STILL want to stop analogs, no matter what. I think my main thing at this point is learning how to vape most effectively, so I'm fully substituting the analog smoking experience. That, and finding the "perfect" juice substitute for the tobacco flavor. Definitely the eco-pure flavors I purchased weren't right (for me), flavor-wise, but I've already gotten some other good recommendations. When I find the correct juice, I'll be in vape heaven. :p

I had been vaping marlboro, camel and vanilla. None of them were really that good. I had ordered some just plain tobacco flavor from Totally Wicked and today I tried it.It was smooth, not harsh and was a perfect substitution for tobacco flavoring. Ithink I have finally found one I like.

I am really liking the Totally Wicked tobacco also, it's doing the trick for me so far :) I still have the occasional urge for a real cig, but a few mins of vaping gets me through.
