Did you get this fixed?

Let us know plz.

:)
Jango,

I haven't been home yet to test it out, but I am guessing from the replies here that I may have gotten a knock off, (or at least a knock off battery)
I did get it second hand from a relative.

I would like to try one of the "cignot" no box 510's.
The forum has great reviews on them, but I don't think they ship to Canada.
I sent them an email though, so.... fingers crossed.

try blocking one or two of the vents next time. you may be getting too much inflow which could seriously dilute the vapor.

Hey John,

I have tried that, and it does seem to increase the th and vapor, but it is def not convenient.
It's actually a deterent.
I guess I could always use my poop version 510 for dripping?
If only the girls at cignot would ship to Canada.... *sigh*

Try this and see if it makes a difference in the amount of vapor you get -

Hold the battery/LED end and shake it some. Like shaking down an oral thermometer. Then when you vape, hold the button but don't suck on it for a second or two. That's got to be a knockoff 510 if the battery has a cutoff.

I have to shake mine a lot to vape properly...otherwise I could suck on that thing till my cheeks cave in and get barely anything.

Another good trick is to hold down the button for a second, twice, and then take a long draw. That's similar to taking a primer puff or two. This helped my 510 start performing. Also, what liquid are you using? The prefilled carts I got with mine, junk. Once I put some decent liquid in there the clouds started rolling in.

Also, if you're looking for a 510, try vapables.com or happy vaper (though they're out of stock at the moment). With shipping and exchange, you won't pay that much more and these are both good, local companies to deal with. Fast shipping, no border or customs hassles.

Hopefully you are looking around in the cartridge mods subforum.
:)

Not that the "thermometer" or "windmill" method doesn't work, because it does.
But it is only the first step in going towards a good cartridge mod.

Mine came that way too. If you can pack the filler in the cartridge a little tighter the draw will get harder. I really like the blue foam plugs; easy to adjust the draw by how much and how tight the foam is packed.

Most if not ALL of my carts are this way. I have a few blanks, so I am wondering if I should play with the filler a bit to see how it helps? Also, where is a good place to get blue foam that you can cut to fit?

:)

Would that be a cart problem? I'm using the stock polyfill with a straw, and what I'm doing is shaking *towards* the cart - I would think this would push the juice in the cart away from the atty? (forgive me, I never got to physics in high school!)

When I was using the "thermometer method" aka the "windmill method" I was shaking in the opposite direction that you are. I was shaking from the cartidge end to get more juice from the cartridge to the atomizer since I was smoking these things faster than the wicking material can keep up with me.

But you have to be very careful, or you will spray juice out the holes where the battery connects with the atomizer. And if you have an automatic battery you could mess it all up this way.

You want to shake much less when more full, and much more when when less full. It takes practice, but it works. But in the end, a good cartridge mod is much beter.

You might take a quick look at the thread linked in my signature for more information as well.

if I shake *from* the cart end, all I get is juice pouring out from the atty and spraying everywhere. I have to shake it from the battery end. It's not that I'm not getting juice - I recognize a dry atty, which I'll get after doing my battery shake constantly and vape the cart empty.

It's the same with direct dripping...I put one drop in my atty and it hurgles and gurgles and I suck away getting nothing. Shake it down from the batt end and (with a slight amount of juice flying out of the open atty) I'll get vapor.
