510/ ego question

I have had my 510 for 36 hrs now and NO analogs in that time. I was worried that the whole vaping thing would not work, but so far, so good. That being said, the only problem i had was yesterday when i left the house, the 2 batteries didnt last but about 4 hrs or so... luckily i was close to home and could get away long enough to go home and charge them. I had an opened pack of Marlboros and my zippo on me, but resisted the urge.

So i am down to a couple of different options. One would be to just go ahead and buy more batteries (3 for $35 through cignot). Second option would be to buy the mega batteries, but dont like the idea of having an even longer ecig. The third, and the one I am leaning towards would be to just go ahead and purchase an ego. The reviews all seem to point to a much better battery life.

If I am correct (which is a big IF)... the carts and the atomizers from the 510 both work with the ego. Seeing as i bought extra carts and extra atomizers, this would be a great way to not have wasted money. Am i correct about the carts and atomizers? The only "wasted" parts from my 510 kit would be the 2 batteries, but i can let me dad have them and he would have 4 batteries.

Is the ego battery that much better? For the $80 i would spend on an ego, i could buy 6 510 batteries, but would have to deal with keep charged batteries seperated from used batteries. Also carring 7 extra batteries just doesnt seem like a user friendly idea.

yes, the ego is compatible with 510 attys. You might want to consider getting the PCC. It's the same size as a pack of cigarettes and I found if you have one, when the batt dies you just swap it out with a fresh one and toss the dead one in to charge.

I have been wondering the same thing. I have four batteries and a PCC and I still worry about running out of power. Should I just by the 5 Pack of Tornado batteries and a couple of cones and call it good, or do I need something extra even then?

i totally forgot that option... i am assuming that the PCC has to be charged as well? how long does that battery last?

My PCC will not keep up and many times I will be away from home for two days at a time. Can I just get the 5 tornado/ego batteries and call it good?

yes, you can just get the ego batteries and all your other equipment will work for you. you may want to purchase the cone that goes over the atty as it makes it look really slick and it can be handy as if you overfill you won't get liquid on your hands. some people say it makes the vapor warmer, but i haven't noticed that myself.

I purchased two 5 packs for a total of 10 Ego Batts this way since I like to change flavors often I can load 9 carts and have 3 different flavors running at once and have 3 carts for each, I would say I never run out of pwer or juice during any day,!!!

The eGo/Tornado or eGo/Tornado batteries should do the trick. A fast charger is handy too and fully charges a battery in less than two hours.

I don't seriously chain vape but I go through phases where I use a battery faster than usual. My battery life on my eGo has varied anywhere from 6 hours up to two days on a single battery.

Most of the time I just swap out for a fresh battery when I go to bed and put the battery I've used for the day on the charger overnight. That way I'm not running the battery all the way down every time I use it. Last night I cleaned my atty and did a dry-burn afterwards with the battery I had been using all day and it STILL didn't run it all the way down.

To the poster interested in making it two days without a charger, a five-pack should be MORE than up to the task! At any rate, the eGo/Tornado batteries are WAY more convenient than swapping standard 510 batteries throughout the day.

lol! I guess you WOULDN'T! You have TEN Ego batteries? 8-o

Anyway, back to the OP's question..yes, the ego is worth it. I'm a CHAIN vaper. I hardly EVER put it down..if I could vape in the shower or while I'm sleeping, I would. That being said, it lasts me, on average, 8 hours.

It comes with 2 batteries. Keep one charged and you (should) never be SOL!!

I would love to see vapage and plumes of vapor coming out of your shower domino that would be quite a show, now the ego is a nice unit and especialy running these new
LR510 Atty's on it, it really delivers a punch with those LR Atty's, however I cant put down my GGTS with my AFS on it the thing is just a vapor TH machine.!!!!
Back to the OP, I just like having lots of back up, I love vaping as well and dont want to run out of anything when I leave the house and go out so I have a nice carry case that holds 5 egos with Atty's on then and keep two in the pocket, I feel extra safe this way.!!

One eGo battery should outlast 6 regular 510 batteries. If you just buy the battery & cone, make sure you also buy the fast charger or an adapter to fit your regular charger. I usually get 10-12 hours on one eGo battery.

I was in the same boat a few weeks back - got an eGo and couldn't be happier.
After seeing it and trying it out my wife also switched over to an eGo.

The batteries last me about 8 hours... meanwhile she can go almost two days on one (I vape a lot more than she does).

If you're going to have to carry around a PCC and extra batteries, my vote would be to just get the eGo. Its much nicer, in my opinion, and you won't have the worry of battery life hanging over your head.

The quick charger (which comes with the eGo kit from Janty) is WELL worth it.
A battery will charge in two hours, while a charged battery will last you way more than that... so unless you're going to be away from an outlet for an entire day you should be fine with 2 batteries.

We both have 2 batteries right now - and I might consider getting a 3rd just to have as a backup. But I can tell you that most of the time I don't even take a backup wiht me out of the house. I just make sure I'm grabbing a freshly charged battery and I'm good for at least 6 hours, usually 8 (all depends how much you use it, and I tend to chain vape... a lot).

Think I'm gonna buy a single to test it out.

There is a very small minority that have reported problems with the batteries. I have six (2 eGos and 4 Tornados) and I have not had any problem with the buttons sticking. I had one eGo battery die, but Janty replaced it very promptly. I have had more problems with regular 510 batteries.

Only been vaping for about two months (Ego only) and so far great...No problem at all with the batteries...Even bought a 5-pack auto batteries from Janty and all work greats..Enjoy...

The only difference is in the accessories ... the eGo comes with one atomizer, five carts, a fast charger and a longer warranty; the Tornado comes with two atomizers, 10 carts, a standard charger and a shorter warranty.

eGos and Tornados both seem to be in stock now!
