So I just recently started with a 510 and am liking it. I am also curious about trying out the Ego as well. I am assuming the 510 carts and attys also fit the Ego, so all I should need to try it out is an Ego battery and a charger, correct? At cignot I can get an Ego battery for $20 and an adapter to charge it with the standard 510 wall charger for another $4. I'm still learning about what's out there and it seems that $24 beats the price of a full-blown Ego starter kit (just to give it a test drive).

Am I on the ball here or am I missing something?

I started with the standard 510 as well and switched to the ego 3 days into it.
the ego batt last me at least the full day sometimes into the next
the tips and attys are the same the charger is the only thing different I think
you will be happy with the change i think
I would check with e-smokeytreats.com too I know they have both in stock but you may have to call them.
if you join their facebook page you get 10% off

I bough some Ego cartomizers from Good Prophets to use on my mods last night and I can't wait to try them. They're suppose to last forever.

Got 5 of those myself with the same hope and excitement and it faded fast. Far from the all day sucker I was hoping and refilling/leakage is a challenge though from reading, this seems like hit/miss on the manufacturing side.

Hope your luck is better than mine. ;)

When they are working good though, nice vape! :vapor:

good choice going with cignot...the customer service is awesome!

as far as the cone, i had them for all of my egos, but once i started using the lanyard, i never used them again. If you are just checking it out to see if you like it, forget the cone. If you find that you like it, which i am sure yo will, then you can always buy the cone later, or use the lanyard which hides the whole unit anyways.

I have one coming from a friend to try out, but honestly, i like the regular 808's from COV so much that I dont think I will ever change over. when i was using the ego+adapter+808=happiness

I`ve been using the ego/tornado for months now, my prodigy and xhaler are collecting dust. But I strongly reccomend the starter kit simply for the convinence of having 2 batteries and the cone, which I think is important to the airflow. If you balance out the price, all I buy now is juice and an occasional atty. compared to a carton of cigs every 12 days. I also prefer the low resistance atty but it does not last as long. Totallywicked-eliquid.com has the tornado and LR attys .

The cones change the airflow. They tighten up the draw and warm the air as it forces it past the hot atty. The difference is significant.
well i used 10 egos at once, rotating flavors, and honestly the air draw with the cone was tighter, but as far as hotter, not at all. The cone made almost no difference to me and was there basically for looks. The unit looks better with the cone, but does not perform any differently.
