510/ Juice questions...

I have searched forever before posting this...hate to ask questions that have already been answered, but I didn't find these although I'm sure they're out there somewhere, but I'm not finding them...

Some of you with a 510 use an empty cart...I know that we can put a couple of drops directly on the atty, but how many drops do you put in a cart w/o filler? And when you do this, do you also drip onto the atty as well? I want to try it, but don't want any flooding.

Also, I want to buy a USB passthru. From what I've read, there's a wide variance in quality. I'm looking for suggestions for the best deal for a decent quality USB. It sounds like the they come with the battery attached, but some of them might detach as well? Does this even matter if you have enough batteries for away from the computer use?

One last thing... Is there really such a thing as 'unflavored' juice. I only have one unflavored juice so far, and I think - based on the smell - that there's something there that gives it a taste. Is that just how it is, maybe nicotine itself has a taste, or is it possible to have one that doesn't affect the flavorings?

Not sure if I'm saying that right, but hopefully someone will understand what I mean.

WHEN I do use an empty cart I fill about 10-15 drops and then move up and down with tweezer to circulate juice so not all of it is resting at bottom. I also drip one or 2 drops on atty and then will take a few solid hits to make sure I do not flood atty.

I have a manual 510 passthough.. one where as on a manual 510 battery you press the button to vape.. this all depends on what you really need the passthrough for.. I use at night or when on computer for long periods of time. If you are not on computer all that much and have battery charging then you are fine. ALTHOUGH I have recently purchased a passthrough for my kr808 and 901 from Naler.com and this seems to be a mod in itself! It supercharges the flavor, throat hit and vapor.
You may want a PCC where it chrges your batteries on the go!

I will order some nhaler juice...I think I'll like the flavors better when the nonic has zero taste so the flavors I add will stay more true...

I do have a USB charger - it has an adapter so I can use it in the car, but when I ordered it I thought I could use the 510 while it was charging...even though it didn't do exactly what I thought it would I chalked that up to just another newbie mistake, (along with the ecig that 'looks like a cig"...it doesn't take long to get over that concept, does it?)but it is still handy to have.

I'm going to explore the passthrus a bit more and I'll start with altsmoke.

Now I'm going to go fill an empty cart....I'm excited after hearing how much you can put in there...I'd been just dripping a couple on the atty, but this is gonna be way better!

Just want to clarify: when you say "empty cart" do you mean like a blank, with no filler, or just an empty cart with clean filler? Keep in mind, you prolly don't want to drop into a cart with no filler, as without some kind of filler there will be no way for the liquid to get to the atty except gravity. You'd prolly end up with a flooded atty, a mouth full of juice, few drops of wasted liquid, or any combination of the three.

Sorry if I misunderstood, just would hate for you to find this out the hard way...

Whoa! Hold on there... Don't do that. First

Empty cart = no filler (usually)
Blank cart = cart with filler
Prefilled cart = cart with filler with juice filled at factory,etc.

When people drip, (mostly) they remove the filler from the cart so are dripping with an empty cart. They drip only on the atomzer. If you would put 15 drops in an empty cart with no filler you would flood the atomizer because the juice would just run in there.

I did think that some were putting juice in a cart w/o filler. I thought the same thing and that you'd get a mouthful, too.

Yes. Just on the atty. It's more work but the claim is that the vapor/throat hit and flavor are all better. I do both... I have the straw mod...

...with the polyfiller in the cart so I'll top off the cart with about 6 to 8 drops, put 2 or 3 drops on the atty as they sink in and then finish off with 4 or 5 more drops on the filler. It makes for a longer vaping session. And one couldn't do this without the straw mod unless you're using a syringe or needle tip where you're filling from the bottom up.

I prefer the straw mod because it seems to help with the wicking up of the juice in the filler - air pocket on the bottom etc. The 'work' involved using a filler instead of just dripping is cleaning the filler once every two weeks. As time goes on the juice coagulates in the filler - esp. if you're using VG or VG blend and that hinders the flow down in filling and up in wicking up. After about 2 months or even sooner, the filler should just be replaced. If I find a good cheap replacement filler - there are threads on this - just haven't needed it yet - I might replace it instead of cleaning it.

yeah i really hope he's not planning on filling a stuffing free cart with juice :/

honestly, if you do the teabag mod, and fill it with waffled pyramid tea bag material (fold like accordian, back and forth, fold double, poke in, trim off flush) you'll forget dripping.

The teabag turns loose more juice (makes your device a juice hog) which is the point...dripping hits you with a massive blast of flavor...teabag does the same, but for more draws than dripping can. I can make it to work (admittedly a short drive) with a full teabagged cart on a 901...with a standard cart, its gettin weak before i get there even though the cart has loads of liquid still in it.

Dripping would be out of the question while driving, i have a stick shift supercharged v6 camry..no way im missing out on that alternate enjoyment lol
