Hey, my fiance is in there vaping her first shot right now, we just got the joye 510, the cartridges had some fluid on the outside and in the little plastic packaging, is that normal, and she's not getting much vapor, though the nasty marlboro taste is there... we don't have long to deal with anythign defective, is everything working as it should be? she's not getting much vapor out, and nothign happened the first several puffs on either battery, though the led went off as normal. I got an open box set, from cignot, is that the problem?

No that is not normal. The only liquid should be in the cartridge filler, and if they were prefilled, you shouldnt see liquid, just that they are moist. If you are filling them, only fill enough that it looks moist, not wet. I would dry everything off and recharge the batteries, it sounds like something leaked in the shipping.
Sometimes the cartridges will leak a little in transport. It also takes a bit, from my experience with my 510, to really get it going. For some its a few hours, for some its a day.
That might not be the nasty marlboro taste she's getting, but the fluid used to prime the atomizer - a bunch of good puffs should get it going and cleared out.
Did you get any other liquid? I started off by puffing away on the atomizer without inhaling, added a couple drops from the liquid I bought to both the atomizer and the cartridge, and started puffing away - had some great vapor going pretty quickly, but it got even better by that night.
If you didn't buy some juice.... you should, because the carts won't last all that long.

I have had plenty of carts that leaked while in the packaging. Don't worry, just clean it off.
510's can take a day or two to break in. Mine took two days of heavy vaping to break in... you will experience a TON of vapor soon. No worries.

Yeah, once the atomizer gets good and wet, you'll be getting tons of vapor....and I mean tons. You could drop a few drops directly on the atomizer to get started..

I just got a new 510 and it had a little bit of spillage as well but it's not major and it worked fine, just be sure to clean up where you mouth is going to go you don't want liquid nicotine in your mouth. By using E-Cigs though it's only a matter of time until you do get that first charge of pure nicotine burning in your mouth...

I have had mine for 3 days now from the same place, I was using just one of the atty until today and switch to the other new one experienced the same thing you are for awhile now it working just fine. It is quite a bit different then drawing on a regular cig but with a little practice you will get the hang of it. I know I am slowing getting better, best part I haven't smoked an analog for 3 days now. Ok that's not completely true I just lit one about an hour ago took one drag and put it out, can't believe how nasty it tasted.
yup it takes some breaking in. mine was the same way, and as for liquid on the outside of the cart it is normal. mine came with some on the outside of it. just through shiping it gets jogged around causing some liquid to seep through the rubber cap.
