Just got my Riva today, and I'm *very* pleased with it. This is my first PV and I'm pretty amazed overall.

BUT....

For some reason I get next to no vapor with the LR atty I bought. The regular atty's produce well, just not the LR. What I did (with both attys) was blow them out, prime them with 2 drops of juice, and then popped on the cart that I filled. From what I've read that seems correct, and it works great with the normal atty.

I've tried another cart with another flavor...same results. Works fine with regular, nothing with LR. The LR is working, there is a small amount of vapor, but it's VERY harsh and almost no vapor.

Help? Did I get bad LR with my order?

Try 4-6 direct drips into the atty. See if that works. I direct drip with my LR atties. I usually do 6 drips and have a pool of liquid almost to the top of the bridge. If you have the cone on all the way and tight, you don't need to worry about leakage until you remove cone or atomizer. Also, flooding shouldn't be an issue with this much liquid either...the LR eats juice up.

I'm almost positive 2 drops is not enough for an LR. Just do the 6 drips with no cartridge and see if it works. If not, then something is wrong.

I'll give this a try as well. I'm still searching for a link on how to use the multimeter to check the atty. But for the time being I'm pretty happy with the regular one....it might be more a matter of getting my money back if the LR atty they sent me is DOA.

Initally I placec about 5 drops on a new dry atty and let it soak in a minute or two.
Take a couple of hits then place about 2 or 3 drops.
The LR atty if it is working correctly should work fine on your PV.

Sometimes too many drops will kill vapor. too much is not good. Little is better in this case.

If you are showing 1.8 on resistance that is fine.

Atty should work. It might be a bad atty also.. Unusual but can happen.

Glad you have a reg 510 as back up..

Too bad you dont have another atty to try out.

Ok, putting 5 drops on it worked....kinda. It still doesn't really hit any better than the reg atty's I have do, and it's awfully hot and harsh smoke. I vaped that for 3-4 hits and then dropped another 3 drops on it and stuck a full cart on and still not that great.

The good news, I placed an order with VaporJunction today for some various stuff...drip tip, new v2 cartomizers, 901 atty with adapter, etc. Dexter from VJ saw this and just wrote me to say he was dropping in one of their LR 501's for me to use. Very cool......

One thing that makes me wonder...I bought this atty when I bought the Riva, and even though the supplier was out of stock, they wrote me later to say they found one and would be able to include it in the order. But it came w/o any packaging...just rolling around on the bottom of the box. Makes me wonder if it's really new. I think I'm going to read up on some of the atty cleaning threads and see if that perks it up.

Glad you got it going some Bah. Lr 510 attyts are very good attys normally and different than the regulars. I am sure you will have better luck with a different atty..

I got my VJ order today, along with the LR 510 that Dexter threw in. It works MUCH better than the original I got. I dunno why, it rated out the same on the multimeter, but it worked right outta the package and produces very nice vapor. I'm still not sold on the LR's, I think they are kinda harsh for my taste, but I'll give this one a good workout to see if that changes.
