I've had my 510 for about a week, Today I've noticed the led on the battery flickering on and off while in use. Has anyone else seen this?
I put 1 battery on the charger and the charger showed a green light, pulled the battery off and tried it,,nothing, put the multi-meter on it and showed no volts.
I think both of my batteries are close to being dead in 1 week, Is this normal?

I wish I could exchange them. I bought it off the classifieds here. I know they should last longer than this.
Even my 801 kit I started w/ didn't die off w/ my dripping it no less for a month or so.
First the led of 1 battery started acting funny, then I pulled the other off the charger w/ the green light on and it did nothing.
I wonder if the heat of the atomizer is having an effect on the battery.
WHo knows I really don't want to got back to my 801 but looks like I'm going to have to.

The led will do what you stated when it is about to go below the voltage limit. There appears to be a problem with the battery. I have 4 batteries I have been using for 4 months and they are just now showing signs that they are near the end of their usefulness.

When the lower voltage limit is reached the protection circuit shuts the battery down. It will read 0 volts when tested but it really still has about 2.5 volts on the battery charge. It sounds to me like the batteries are either old or defective.

We had a new 801 battery die within a week and a second one go a few days later. Their chips went bad.

This seems to be a constant problem I've had with Njoy since last December. Their attys go soon too. So far, maybe 8 batteries died or too hard a pull, even after charge, and about 6 attys. I don't drip often and carefully when I do.

Heard somewhere to clean the attys for a couple minutes in boiling water and another said alcohol. I tried both and now the attys don't work. Don't think this was a good way for this atty.

Hi everybody!

I'm new to this forum and -just like anybody new to the forum- I'm not allowed to start a new thread.
I've been googling for a long while without success in finding a simple answer to a simple question...

What's the difference between a manual battery and automatic battery? I see there's a switch or a button in manual batteries, but, what's the purpose of it? and, what are the advantages? (there must be an advantadge for that they're more expensive...)

I'm buying my 501 kit and will get a couple of spare batteries, so I need to know what I'm buying, because right now I just can't make a decission...manual or automatic batts..?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers,

Cheers,
The 'manual' has a switch built-in which will give you 'less' of a true analog experience BUT more 'control' over the 'digital' experience ie. MORE Vape for the buck (or pound). The auto-battery offers no control. These batteries should be priced about the same. I have the 'manual' and love it. Tried auto-switching batteries on a different unit and I personally prefer a SWITCH:rolleyes:. Why not try one of each and make your own decission?

Hi!
Thanks for your answer!
2 more questions:

1- With manual batts, then I guess I won't have to draw so hard in order to activate the battery, is that right? (I just press the button and start drawing as soft as in an analogue cig).
We (me & my wife) have already some 401 e-cigs with automatic batteries and we sometimes find it's a pain to draw because you need to draw very hard in order to activate the battery (although there's plenty of juice in the cart).

2- Do manual batteries can still be activated by just drawing? or do I always need to press the button? (as I'm typing this, I'm vaping...but can I have my hands busy and vape from an e-cig with a manual battery?).

Again, thank you for your help.
Cheers,

Manete, I have the 510 auto and manual batts, and I also have an M402. I love the manual. I do find the draw to be easier with the 510 manual battery compared to the 510 auto battery. I heat it for just a second before I draw on it.

And with either the 510 auto or manual batt, the draw is 100 times better than on my 402. I can't really switch between the 510 and 402 because the draw is so different on them and I get used to drawing hard on the 402, then draw that hard on the 510 by mistake and end up with a mouthful!

I also think the taste is way better on the 510 manual battery than the auto. :hubba:

At first I thought the manual batt would be a PITA because you do have to activate the button, but it isn't and now my auto batt sits collecting dust.

Vegatron75, I'm wondering if your battery was starting the self-cleaning cycle. Since you bought it used, it could be nearing that 2000 puff mark or whatever it is. I haven't experienced it yet (and live in fear of it 8-o ), but I've read the LED blinks some weird pattern when it's about to start.
