The USB manual pass-through battery is powered in two different ways: Plugged or unplugged from a computer's USB port. Our USB pass-through is not only a battery charger but also a regular manual battery. Since the USB manual pass-through battery has a backup battery, your 510 will continue to work once you unplug it from the USB port.
The reason why we have chosen manual batteries over automatic batteries is because the manual battery is in the OFF position until you start to eSmoke. You turn on your battery by pushing in the little button located on the side of the battery. The manual method conserves your battery juice, whereas automatic batteries are always ON and/or on standby.
