510 or 808 cartos - you preference?

My wife has been using a KR8, but is expecting her eGo to arrive in a few days. She wants to stick with the cartos. The kit she bought comes with a 901/808 adapter, so she has her choice of using either 510 or 808.

For those who have used both 510 and 808 cartos, which do you prefer and why?

I've had more than my share of thread meshing issues with the 808 cartos. Since switching to 510's that problem has been eliminated. The fine threads on the 510's screw on smoothly,and are better quality IMO.

I like 510 cartos myself. I have used both. Like most things in life. There are good 510 cartos and bad 510 cartos. Just like KR808's.

It's a shame when one person tries one type of 510, or KR808, cartos and then gets on a forum and blasts them saying that ALL 510 cartos are bad. Or good for that matter.

You might need to try a few different "brands" before you find what you like in either 510 or 808.

That said, I DON'T like the treads on a KR808. Seems like the carto is only held on by about 1/4 of a thread. Have to be very carefull not to strip out the battery thread.

I'm of the other mindset actually...I like the turbo 808 cartos on the 510 to 808 adapter.

because I can adjust the airflow on the adapter and adds a little bit of length to the eGo so I can comfortably use the cone for it

To me they are about the same. I like the 510 cartos on my 510 devices and the KR8's on my 901 device. I do dislike the adapters.

510's for me. IMO they hold more juice, perform better and thread much easier.

Could you please explain about LR cartomizers for 510 - do you mean that there are different types of them? LR and HR?

I prefer 808d-1 batteries. So, naturally, I prefer a purpose built cartomizer.

kr8's here. didn't care much for 510's.. and I've yet to have a real threading issue with the kr8's.

Yes. Normal 510 cartos are high resistance. LR's simulate high voltage vaping with a 3.7V battery. The atomizer in an LR carto is going to burn out faster though.

Yep, I agree with that. 280mAh > 180 mAh. And true 3.7v. More on a fresh charge.

I have both. I use 510 when I'm relaxing and vaping but when I'm out in and about I use the 808 b/c I carry a 808 with me. Sorry but I have no preference. Cartos are just great in general.

I have used both the 510 and 808 cartomizers, actually still do use both. My mod has a 510 connection, but an adapter quickly fixes the issue with 808's not fitting. I don't really have a preference, though.

Answers:

Pre-filled and the Re-Filled.

Used a "Flex Tip" Syringe.

A little more work that a Regular Carto but not hard.

It took a tad More than 2ml.

I'm going to write a quick review on them tomorrow. I am going to include what I found as a good way to refill them and some things to watch out for.

I like the Mega Carto. In fact, I Like Them Alot !!!
