Could someone please draw a simple diagram of how the air ducts or vents work in an atomizer or cartomizer. I've just never really broken one down far enough to understand this completely.

First stop would be Exogenesis' incredible breakdown picture of a 901:

After that - look closely at YOUR 510 cartridge - it really is compelex for a little bit of plastic, the air flow goes around the sides - not through the middle as it first appears....

As far as the sir flow through the atty - that is straight forward! Hole in the bottom, flows straight through.... It's the cart that's confusing!

You sure? When my Joye 510's start to draw hard, especially at higher voltage, re-opening the little hole with a 1/16" bit in the middle makes a big difference.

Note the well used atty on the left, and how it should look.

Having this hole open is also very important if using a ....-feeder.

Right Wille - the 510 cartridge has airflow along the sides - the atty's air flow goes through the middle.... (Like your pic shows)
I wanna say that Scubabatdan has a picture somewhere (But I'm too lazy to find it!)

Yea but the Joye 510's do in fact have tiny little holes in the threads that route the air into the base.

sorry ,,, didn't even ask if there were previous diagrams. Just a little thing I think a lot of people overlook. But I just don't know how it all works together
