Hello, it looks like my PT just died... I check the battery and it seems to be good, so I supposed it must be something to do with the switch (sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't)...

Anyways, I'll order another one, but I want to open this one up to see if maybe I can bright it back to life... has anyone done something like this?

I mean, is there a correct way to open it up? I'm about to try to unscrew the atty connection part... it looks like it a big screwdriver will fit there...? Also there seems to be a little cap on the cord end...

Anyone?

I posted the same question so I'm going to reply to your thread to bump it up to the top. Someone else must be having issues with passthroughs. On mine the wire that goes into the portion you hold with the switch is loose and can move in and out. I jiggled it and got it to turn on for a moment. I can't see anyway to take it apart.

BTW, I sent an email to Heaven Gifts and they replied and have a 6 mo. guarantee on it and will replace it. I just need to send it back which they say will cost about $3 each way.

Thanks Libertysf,

Mine works sometimes only, I opened the box (where the in line battery goes) and attached couple of cables directly to an atomizer (skipping the button) works nicely...

That confirmed me that the "smart" part is ok... so the problem must be on the button... if only I can open it, place the atty connector into another case with a real switch it will work again... thing is that I can't seem to find the way to open it without destroying the connector...

Anyways I already ordered another one...

I've never taken apart a pass through but I'll give some thoughts. If you try to unscrew the atty connector the wires will twist off.

Two ideas, Pull off the end where the wire goes in and see if you can push out the connector or put an old atty in and use it as a handle to wiggle it out.

Or break the case apart and use the pieces with a real switch in another box.

Just to update, nothing was wrong with my 510 PT. I was using it on the USB ports on my computer and monitor when I was having problems, then I took an AC USB wall plug adapter and plugged in the PT. That was last night and it has worked perfect since.

I think the computer USB plug was not charging the battery and the battery was just dead. Do you have a AC USB adapter to try?
