(if you would like to avoid the long-winded sob story - scroll (way) down to the one sentence synopsis at end) :D

I was happy with my first time pv purchase of a 510 manual device. initially the batteries lasted much longer than I expected - over an hour or so.
the fiddliness was getting tiresome tho. every couple of drags I was topping off and messing with the filler stuff.

so learning from that i figured I wanted a device that could hold more liquid. less topping and fiddling.

ordered some dse801 (4 hole) atty's with both an auto and manual pass thru. (have a kensington).

got 'em speedy quick (I think scotty has my coordinates) and no need to do the looong and painful battery charge - popped an atty on the auto and tried it out.
not bad.

over the next hour or so I puffed off what little primer was on there and learned to draw differently. by the time that hour was up, I was in vaping heaven.
nice long vaping sessions, great flavor, and no need to stop and fiddle thru out.

later that evening I figured I should try the manual - less than a handful of ok hits (draw not as smooth and easy) and ka-PUT!! lights flashing almost all the time, but when I would try to take a hit - nothing - NADA.

these things happen, and I had my auto friend....

back to the eyes rollin' up in my head hedonistic vaping bliss -
heavy hitting.
but only for about 2 more days (5 days total).

I stored them "ash" side up, used cartridges only - no dripping, even put some rolled paper towel in the end thinking maybe juice got in there - but it was dry.
I tried easing up the contact there, makin' little staple men and putting them in -
no go.
I was without my special fix.
very hard to let go once you've experienced a vape like that.

about three looooong days later I got my replacement pt's -
you should've seen me ripping open that package.

ahhh bliss!
my new auto is working and so is the manual. I really do prefer the auto for some reason. a very easy, relaxing (hookah-like) vape.

well, the vaping gods were not looking favorably upon me - no sooner were my eyes rolled up in my head when -
*sigh* no more auto pt
followed 3 days later by no more manual pt.

today I received some 801 parts and a replacement auto pt.
didn't even get a few hours out of that one - from the get go, it was working - sorta.
vapor production was very wimpy.

----------------
synopsis:
tried 3 auto pass throughs and 2 manual pts - longest lasting only 5 days.

when I first entertained buying a pass thru I thought about puresmokers food of the gods version, but thought it might be too much stronger than a typical pt.
I was very satisfied (feeling wise) with my first auto pt experience and didn't want to use something so powerful that it would be impossible to enjoy a typical 801 battery again. also it seems the cord of a standard pt is easier to carry about on one's person.

do any of you have experience with typical pt's that you care to share?
I didn't expect mine to last for ever, but if what I've encountered is the norm, then I really don't think it's worth it.
is a typical pt (w kensington) really 5volts?
can a more reliable (auto) pt be found anywhere?
how much stronger is puresmoker's pt?

my goal is eventually to stop vaping (I'm not in any rush, tho).
I fear getting in too much deeper with higher voltage devices. I would consider something like the protégé for a more consistant longer lasting 3.7 vape.
I really enjoy the easy draw, soft tips, large carts, and flavor from the dse 801.

thanks for listening :)

Hi I have a puresmoker 801 pt and I can't put it down, I have 3 other manual pts, 2-510 and a 801, th puresmoker puts them all to shame. The hits are good, better and best depending on how long you draw, very consistant. I enjoy long hits and tons of vapor, the puresmoker has not diappointed in the least. The only drawback is the cord, which has a mind of it's own, like your tv cable it just goes where it wants. Itried it at work and it was a fight, so now I just use it at home and travel with my trustee 510's. I definately look forward to it when I'm driving home, it's like vapor heaven.
