510 Pass thru question

Can you use a 510 pass thru with the wall adaptor? I raed that for in the vehicle I can get one of the auto lighter plugs that has a usb plug. My wall (AC) charger has the usb plug in it so was wondering if I can just plug into that. Looking at the back of it it says 5v output.

Mine works on a wall adapter, but it's all about the amps... Mine requires (from what I have read around the forums) a 5V, 2 amp adapter (I have one on order for the car and the wall ). Right now it works great from my laptop or a powered USB hub. I tried it on my iPhone wall adapter (5V, 1 amp) - it worked, but seemed kinda wimpy.

I think if the adapter is 5V, 500 mah (like many are), it may not work.

I'm curious, does a Pc or laptop's usb put out 2amp?
I would imagine the 2a auto adaptor is mainly to ensure circuit doesn't blow fuse?

Well it got here today and seems to be working fine on the wall charger!

2 amps is a buttload for a usb hub to output.
