Well, you did buy from a very good supplier, which is very important to me anyway. The 510 is a good first kit. i bought the mega-510 cartomizer kit from MadVapes, and am very happy with it. I haven't really used cartridges with it, so i can't say much about that. Although I did buy some attys and a drip tip from them and am quite happy with that as well.

The 510's are reliable. Batt life is short though, but it's to be expected because of it's size.
Can't speak on the tips because I don't use em.

I've had my Joye 510 for about a week now and I love it. Like you I'm a newb so I have nothing else to compare it to. I have two full time batteries and atties and one back up of each. Yeah the battery life isn't the greatest but with two or three batteries and an access to a charger it's not too bad. I wish I would have bought the Ego but this is a great cigarette for out in public and general smoking. I have 1 auto battery and 2 manuals. I use the manuals to drip with on occasion. So far it's slowed my analog smoking from 15-20 a day to one a day (trying to finish up my last pack I bought a week ago). I have found the batteries only take one hour and 15 minutes to charge (of course this is pretty sad that I know the exact time which shows you do spend some time bonding with your charger).

I'm 90% sure that those are actually mega batteries because the normal holiday kit comes with mega batteries and they use the same picture for them. Here's to praying. How will I be able to tell when they come?

Length. Megas are longer. Dimensions are kicking around here somewhere. Those look like standard from the photo. You got a good dead from a good vendor. Those are the drip tips I use and I like them . . . on cartomizer . . . not a fan of the metal drip tips. What flavors did you pick?
