I've been wandering through the "newbie" forums and a series of "newbie videos" one member had created. I've narrowed down my selection to the Electron 510 starter kit or the Standard Joye 510, the Electron is 6 dollars cheaper and I'm looking to save money. Can I use the battery from a Joye in the Electron because they're both 510s? Is one alot better then the other? Help!:vapor:

The Electron looks just like a renamed Joye so my guess is the batteries would be interchangeable. What I don't see is that they are cheaper. I see the Electron priced at around $41, but you can find the Joye for $35 here: https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-510-nbx.htm

Like, GoneWiththe Wind, I suggest you give serious consideration to the eGo as well. Unless you only plan to use it occasionally, you will ultimately decide you need the longer battery life of the bigger battery.

as a newbie myself, I would advice going with the eGo. My wife and I both bought kits at the same time- she got a 510, I got an eGo (I was going by the advice so many people on forums). Within just a few days my wife ordered an eGo because the 510 batteries just don't last. She was recharging both batteries up to 3 times a day (that's 6 charges!), while I was going all day on just one eGo.

You're probably looking at the 510's because they are shaped more like a cigarette. But you'll quickly get over that. The eGo is so much better.

My opinion - If you buy a 510 buy a Joye because there are some substandard clone parts around. I tried to save a few bucks on my 510 kit - got it on a holiday sale somewhere - not Joye and I got an eh atty and carts that don't even fit it.

One good vendor of Joye - cheap shipping too - I buy a lot of my hardware here
Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA

And I also recommend the standard (not LR) Boge Soft-Cap Cartomizers for 510 on the same site.

And buy some eliquid to hold you over until you buy better eliquid from a good juice vendor. I get most of my juices at Backwoods Brew and FreedomSmokeUSA, and some from Velvet Vapors. MY PG/VG preference is 70pg/30vg
