Do you blow out your atomizer as well? I take the end caps off of my carts before I rinse them out, some of the vapor gets stuck in between the caps, you might be getting that. Also make sure when filling no juice runs down the outside of the carts in to the little openings on the side. Once you pop the caps off you'll see what I mean. I clarified the airflow through the carts question as well.

also with the pyrimid bags and a 510 cart is it one bag per stuff or 1 bag per 2? Should those be rolled tight with the toothpick or kinda loose?

That thread should answer some of the Lipton teabag questions for you. Some people fold, some carpet roll. I've tried 2 and 3 layers. Trial and error my friend. Personally, I fold the 1st layer in half, roll it up tight and cut it to touch the tip of the atomizer bridges, I add a second single layer, to hug the outside of the bridge a little further down. Kinda looks like a cup when you look down into it. But you'll see many different ways, it's gonna come down to your personal preference.

well the juice is definatly leaking from the filter its not like it happens once and chuck it. puff puff spit puff puff spit. Whats a good trick to get the endcaps off without breaking it?

I use a pair of pointed tweazers and just pry from the little hole in the end, you'll find a second one inside and do the same thing again. They pop right out. I was a little worried about causing damage, but it's easier than you'd think. Once you see how it's built, you'll figure it out.

sometimes, i kinda guessed that was flooding. other times tho the flavor is just weak like its not wicking right. Ocassionaly get a burnt taste like its out but the filter is soaked. I might just get used to dripping cause that just tastes so much better. trying to find the best way for long drives tho. Dripping and driving is bad news i thinks =P

You realize that you cant' use this like a cigarette. If you puff away 10 or 15 times in a row, the liquid will not have time to get to your atomizer. Also a new atomizer takes a couple of days to break in. Take long, controlled drags, not too hard.

There are some good beginner threads and videos that will push you in the right direction.

Good luck.

I have the 510 as well and when I first got it, I had this same problem. The problem was the result of two things..

1) overfilling the cart. less is more, really. I had a tendency to try to fit as much juice into the cart as possible.. the problem was, though, that if the cart was full to the top, once the bridge from the atty is pressed in to it, it overflowed the edges and right down into the vents on the side of the cart.. and.. ultimately.. right into your mouth. Think damp, not soaked.

2) sucking too hard. Like BigBob said, long controlled drags. too much suction and you'll end up sucking the fluid out of the cart and into the vents and.. once again.. into your mouth.

The nice thing is, you're punished every time you screw up by receiving a mouthful of juice.. which tends to help you learn faster as to what to do differently next time.. kind of like touching a hot stove. :)

What helped me realize this was that I also have the Blu, which has a clear removable plastic cart inside of the black cart.. so you could see how full it was actually getting.. I realized that when it was completely full, it would wind up in my mouth.

It seems to me that all the ways I've tried to make the wicking better by modding the cart all have there down sides. The tea bags sounded the easiest solution to me until I experienced an in flow of juice that I believe was giving me headaches. Plus I swear my tea bag material was disintregrating rather quickly--could be the Lipton tea bags or maybe just my imagination.

Rather than look at more complicated cuts than just a simple role, I tried the spring mod. But this time when using the polyfill I'm being extra careful not to have any loose fibers that could get in my mouth. So far so good.
