if your not getting any burnt taste its fine. i have the same system that i still use everynow and again, and its normal for the atty to get hot. also mah rating is justt he size of the battery. what makes the heat is the volts. your battery is a 3.7v battery which can be used on pretty much anything, but you get better performace out of a atty or carto thats LR (low resistance).

Are you using juice too thick for it? What PG/VG are you using? -T tank attys usually like 30% or less VG though some thinner 40-50% VG juices might work. Normally if an atomizer isn't being kept damp enough it will get unusually hot. And if you are already using suitably thin juice, sometime -T atomizers need their wick adjusted a bit (somewhere between leaking and burning).

I have a 510-t too, the atomizer sometimes gets warm, but never really hot. Try doing one quick draw (like less than 1 second, then pause) before your full draw. Also, make sure to keep everything clean. I am actually probably gonna switch to Boge cartos for my 510, based on all the good things I have heard about them. Also, I'm not sure if this changes anything, but when I pop a new tank in, I push it in, and then rotate it a few times to be sure that the hole is perfect. Keep trying until you find something that works!

Now something else I noticed - vapor production goes way down after several puffs... the juice is 100% PG and the battery is fresh, but after about 5-6 draws I am hitting the 5 sec cutoff time to produce as much vapor as on the first draw... am I drawing too hard so it has not time to re-saturate the wick?

Also, finding that it's a much bigger effort to draw on the T as opposed to the cartos...

That's interesting because after trying the Boge carto's, I've found that I get a WAY better draw and more vapor when using the tank system, and not these carto's. With the Carto's, I feel like I'm sucking through a straw, but with the tanks, there is definitely some resistance there. This could be because I'm using the same 80& PG/20% VG juice in both the tank and the cartos (Higher VG would be better in the cartos but I don't have any right now). I've found that when using either one (tanks or cartos) there is pretty much equal amounts of effort involved to prepare. If your juice is 100% PG, you will get less vapor anyways. Try using a 80% PG/20% VG or even 60%/40% because you'll get more vapor from the VG that's blended in. If you use tanks again, I would suggest not buying pre-filled tanks...just puncture the tank like you normally would, then fill it with a syringe using a juice that has some amount of VG in it.
