An ego-T or 510-T, completely un-modified, probably won't be great on 5v. The highest I've been able to go without out-vaping them is 3.9v on a 510-T and 4.3 on an ego-T. YMMV. If they're modified in some way for faster wicking (or modified to use for dripping instead of tanks) then they're fine for whatever you want to put them on

I've used a 510-t that I took the wick plate out of to use as a drip atty on 5 volts...worked fine just gotta keep it wet.
    ^^ This^^
I do it all the time, both on a 3.7 mod and a VV. The 510-T is one of my favorite atties to drip with because it's not as airy as some other atties because there is only one side hole in the base instead of two.
