i bought my 510's last summer from innovapor when they had all their back log issues, and i got those joye rip off attys. ok so after using those i gave up on the e-cig... one i didnt really want to stop smoking, then having the issues im here to discuss.
so im actually trying to quit this time.
i still have the same 510's with those cheap crap loose attys...
they seem to have an awful taste when they get warm.
if i get any of the real joye attys will i still have that same issue.
it truely is making vaping not so enjoyable, and i cant quite get the taste out of my liquids that i think i should be getting. are those attys really that much different from joye's? will i always have to deal with awful tastes when my attys get warm/hot?
any suggestions on what i should do?
im thinking i should order a few real joye attys and try it out, but i want some informed input.
thanks for any that i recieve. :)

I got my attys for pretty cheap at Electronic Ash and they are genuine Joye.

I am having an issue with the primer taste. I wish I could just do away with that nastiness... (if anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it!)

Buttt.. I had some knockoff attys that developed a bad flavor as well.. It's like burnt hair, but I cannot really put my finger on it.

Good luck! I hope you can figure it out (and let me know! lol);-)

**Also, WorM, what part of Alabama are you from?

You have to blow out the primer! Put your lips around the end that doesn't screw into the battery, (the round one), lean over your sink or hold up a tissue or something and BLOW. HARD. You'll see all these little drops go flying out of the other end. Then, take a tissue and wipe off the bottom of the atty and screw it into the battery.

The 'burning hair' taste is very real! Take off the cart and you'll probably see a few little 'hairs' of the polyfilll poking out, either cut them away or push them back in so they're not coming into contact with the atty.

Hope this helps!

I did blow them out today when they came in. I blew the wrong way I think because that's how I did with my other attys. LOL! I guess I have dumb blond syndrome, but it worked for the others. I will try the way you just mentioned though.

I use empty carts b/c I'm a direct dripper, but I think that the first way you mentioned may be the way I need to go. I just wish there was a way quicker way to break in a new atty.. None of my previous Attys have been this nasty.

Thank you for your help!

I'm from Gadsden! How funny!! You're just a hop-skip and Jump away! I have a cousin from Cullman as well. He's 24ish..

BTW Domino, I tried your method and it helped A TON! I blew from the cart side of the atty and then flooded with some TV Amaretto-tobacco-Vanilla (my special blend :D) Then I blew it out again, and Voila! No bad primer taste! You rock!

i had a bit of a problem with the cheaper attys.. but figured them out and they work fine now.. the bridge on them seems shorter so if you are useing blue foam just cut it to stick out of the cart a bit.. then the atty does not go dry and give you the burnt taste..

another problem i had with them was a hard draw.. was fixed by putting a needle up the small hole on the battery side..

they also seem to put out less heat than the true joye's so they might be better for mods.

Careful with that needle! You can easily cut the coil. I've done it. Better to try to clean the atty. Sounds like you got lucky, but its something I would not recommend.
