510 to 801 adapters

I have a small stash of 801 atomizers that I want to use on my V3 but don't have a 801 adapter. To save a little money I bought a 510 to 801 adapter because I thought it would get me through my 801's and then I'd just stick with the 510 atomizers once the 801's were gone.

I purchased one from another vendor and it was great for a couple of days and then it just quit working. By the time I get a good one I will probably just wish I would have bought a PS V3 801 adapter but can anyone recommend a vendor that sells a quality, long lasting adapter at a reasonable price? I figure I would try again but want something that will last longer than the last one I got.

I'm not clear how an adapter can fail.

Have you put it in hot water?
