this is gonna sound silly but I had the same problem..but fixed it simply. I had ordered some 510 cartos, and some of the standard and the premium kr808d's. the 510's worked fine of course on my 510 battery. Then tried the adapter with the standard and the premium kr808d's. At first it wouldn't work at all..then it was a hellish draw...then not working again. All the while I'm taking them on and off and messin around with them.
Then I decided to try it one more time and went into meticulous mode. I took the cartomizer and gently screwed the adapter onto it...then gently screwed the assembly onto the battery. Just barely snug..not tight, but not loose either.
LOW and Behold! It worked..great draw..everything!
If I screw it too tight or not in that order..it double wrenches itself down and cuts off the air. It worked for me anyway..and have been enjoying my new cartos ever since.
PS: I prefer the 510 and the premiums on my standard 510 battery..and the standard kr808d's work great on my 3.7v mods.
