510 to Elite 2ML Carto Drip Tip Adapter! Easy Mod, You Already Have The Parts!

Here it is:

Take an Elite Carto drip tip, and your 510/ 808 drip tip of your choice.

Cut the Elite drip tip down so that there is only about a 1mm lip that extends out of the carto.

Insert your favorite 510/ 808 drip tip!

Done...

P.S. I wanted the tip to be shorter, so I ground down the drip tip so that I could insert it all the way into the Elite "adapter".

P.P.S. If you don't get a tight enough friction fit, use a drop of CA glue to fix the drip tip into the adapter.

Thought I would take it a step further (I always do... )

Made another adapter, but left about 3mm protruding.

Glued the drip tip onto the adapter.

Put the assembly on my Dremel (a micro-lathe type situation).

Machined the adapter shape to "flow" directly into the drip tip.

While I was at it, I thought I would give the whole thing a "chess piece" type shape.

I am pretty pleased.

Brilliant!!!! I just ordered the Elite after a week of going back and forth on it. The main drawback for me was the whistle tip. Now to find some nice drip tips. Yeah!
